EVERYthing starts here
Ten years of technique,
all in one place.
This foundation series of short videos was made to demonstrate every core skill for crepe paper flower making. These are the complete studio techniques Meagan and I have refined over the years—the same skills we use every day to make flowers that look like they were picked them straight from the garden.
This series is the companion to Chapter One of our new book, Paper Flower Garden. The book gives you the photos and the step-by-step instructions. These videos let you pause, rewatch, and craft alongside us until each technique feels like second nature.
Work through all 20 videos at your own pace. Come back whenever you need a refresher. And when you're ready to put these skills into practice making full flowers and arrangements, the Paper Flower Garden Master Class is your next step.
This series is here for you, always.

Thank you for all you do for us here in this community. It makes our lives so much more uplifting, beautiful and fun.
You are so welcome! It is a joy for me to be part of this community. 🙂
Thank you – This review was FABULOUS!
I am so excited to start another Master Class.
We are so happy you are with us!
Bonjour Lia,je suis en France pouvez me dire si cela est possible d acheter vos papiers chez nous.
Merci
We do not have a warehouse there (yet), but we have added a new shipping partner to our shop that is better priced for the EU.
Having taken many of your courses since almost the begining of your journey, I didn’t think this foundation course would be for me. But I love the way you are updating techniques as you discover them and I am therefore also learning so much. Thank you
I love hearing that. I have learned from my own crafting experience that going back to basics now and again is so helpful.
So many great foundational techniques! You’ve done such a great job covering it all! I’m excited for the master class ♥
I am excited you will be here with us!! 🙂
I am so impressed with this book. I bought the physical copy and the ebook. After I looked at the ebook I couldn’t wait for my physical copy to arrive. This book is well worth the cost! I love all the options for learning from the photo tutorials to the video lessons, which for me I prefer, they are so detailed. I can’t wait to dive into these flowers. They are going to make a beautiful bouquet! Thank you Lia and Meagan for sharing your time and skills for these flowers.
Thank you for your sweet message, Jayne. I just shared it with the whole team! Look forward to seeing you in the master class!
So looking forward to this new Master Class! Having just watched the video on Tools and Materials it has spurred me to ask again if you have made any headway with having supplies available in UK and EU? Especially as I’m sure the new book will have even greater international appeal.
So happy you will be joining us! I am going to email you about the other question. 🙂
Happy to be here! I will look forward to hearing from you. x
Lia, how can I order your book. I know I can get it on Amazon but I think you gave a better way . I would like to know the best way for you. My daughter-in-law is an author and she has a better profit depending on where the book is ordered. Is there difference in content. Sorry to be a pain but it seems I’m always playing catch up.
Hi Sharon! You can order directly from the publisher, or we will have them in our shop early next week. Here is the link for the publisher: https://rockynook.com/shop/best-sellers/paper-flower-garden/ref/865/
Could we use pan pastels on cardstock?
Yes, you can! We are doing a full cardstock master class this time next year. 🙂
This book is a triumph, a true masterwork! There isn’t a single one in my extensive library devoted to making paper flowers that can compare in terms of scope and quality. It’s perfect for complete novices, experienced makers, and every one in between. Congratulations to Lia, to Meagan, and to the entire LG team. Can’t wait to download the SVG files. I may have been fantasizing, but did I once hear you say Lia, that eventually there will be video for each flower in the book? Dare I hope?
Yes! We are working to finish videos for every flower. Some have them already and more are released with the new master class. 🙂
Thank you for your sweet words.
Hi Lia! I received your beautiful book for Mother’s Day. My book was delivered and I clicked the QR code that led to the videos. All of the lists and information are very helpful. I have started the videos and I am totally lost on finding the SVG’s. I use a Cricut and I heard the directions for the zip file but the location is where I am lost. Thank you so much for sharing your talent.
Hello Jamie. We will be adding all of the files this week (hopefully tomorrow). We had it scheduled for the launch date, June 9, but since the books are arriving early, we are moving it to the front of the to-do list. 🙂
Thanks bunches!
I loved the videos and can’t wait to get my book!
Thank you
Lia
You are welcome! 🙂
Thank you so much for creating this foundation lessons . I have been on board with my subscription for the last 7 months and love everything I am learning with your amazing flowers , techniques and arrangements with crepe paper and cardstock plus the extras you also have on your website . I have made other flowers previously over the last 3 – 4 years but yours stand out and the most realistic I have ever seen to date ..following the induction tutorials and now ready to try master the other classes ..ready to learn so much more and so glad to be part of your amazing family & community
We are so happy you are here, Liz! This will be a very good summer for growing our skills. 🙂
Is there a supply list?
In section 1, there is a full list of our tools and supplies we use in our studio.
For the upcoming master class? Yes, we will be adding that this weekend.
This series was great!! I’ve been following your flowers for about 6 years now and still love making them. I’ve learned a lot, but I still pick up new tips and love learning new things. I totally enjoyed the videos and am going to participate in the Master Class also! Thank you so much for making this experience available!
You are so welcome Mary! I have been wanting to make this foundation series for a while, and I love that you find it helpful, even as an experienced flower maker. 🙂
Ty for making these videos I remember learning from the first master class and I can’t wait for the new book it’s supposed to be here on Monday. I bought both the physical copy and the ebook.
You are welcome! Let us know what you think about the book. 🙂
The book just came it looks nice I’ll look at it after dinner
You got it early! That is great. 🙂
Thanks for the review of the basics for crepe paper flowers. One thing I noticed was that you mentioned in the cutting machine video that if you use a Silhouette machine, you can click below to see those instructions. But there was nothing below to click on to see the Silhouette instructions.
Oh! Thanks for the reminder. It is there now.
I have been a follower of Lia for several years and have seen the evolution of her techniques and tools. These videos have not only been a good review, but I picked up several new tips along the way. There are other flower makers out there, but Lia is the best. Her flowers are all beautiful and realistic. Also, the tutorials are easy to follow, even for the more difficult flowers. Even mistakes are happy accidents that make things look more natural. This little series is wonderful – and free! Thank you, Lia and company!
Thank you, Cindy! I just shared this sweet note with the whole team. We LOVE our little community. 🙂
This is fantastic. What a great resource. And the book is wonderful, I bought it electronically as soon it was available. Looking forward to the hard copy too. Thank you again for enhancing my life and giving me so much joy.
Thank you for the beautiful note Alexandria. 🙂 This made my day.
I 😘 your designs. Looking forward to producing some of them.
Thank you! We have a free, live workshop on Friday where I show how to make the Sweet Pea. It is a great one to start with. 🙂
I am interested in purchasing your new book. Can you tell me if the templates are available to download as svg files as with your previous book. Many thanks
Yes, they will be available! Here is the link. rockynook.com/shop/best-sellers/paper-flower-garden/ref/865/
