Each berry starts as a tiny spun cotton ball brushed with Mod Podge and wrapped in Extra-Fine Crepe Paper in Coral. The berries go onto short lengths of white and green floral wire, then gather along a sturdy stem wrapped in Juniper extra-fine crepe. For the leaves, Double-Sided Crepe Paper in Ferns/Moss gets a center vein pressed in with a scoring stylus. A full branch calls for plenty of berries, so put on a good podcast and settle in.

Coralberry is a native North American shrub whose rosy clusters hang on to bare stems well into winter, long after the leaves have dropped, and songbirds count on them through the cold months. Ours will last a good deal longer. Tuck a few branches into a holiday centerpiece, or pair them with our Crepe Paper Christmas Cactus for a cheerful windowsill. Because the branch works in any color, you can make it again in spring with soft pinks or in fall with deep burgundy, and it will fit right into your year-round arrangements.

If you’re newer to crepe paper, this is a relaxing project to start with, since the berries repeat the same few steps and the video workshop walks you through each one. When your berry branch is finished, we’d love to see it. Share a photo in our crafters’ community with #MadeWithLia.

FAQs

Can I make the berries in other colors?
Absolutely. Swap the Coral for any Extra-Fine Crepe Paper shade and match your PanPastel to suit the season.

Can I make this branch without a cutting machine?
Yes. The berries need no cutting at all, and you can trace and cut the leaves by hand with craft scissors.

Can I add these branches to a wreath?
Absolutely. The wire stems bend easily, so you can weave them into a wreath or garland.
