Crepe Paper Love!

I am loving the metallic crepe papers, and have been experimenting with crepe paper flowers made from these gorgeous metallics. But today I made a few adorable little acorns and leaves that I wanted to share with you!

For these acorns I chose the copper for the nut itself and made the caps from a non-metallic saddle. I then made fall leaves from Venetian gold, copper and burgundy. Together that gives me the fall look that I will be adding into my Thanksgiving centerpiece arrangement I will be sharing later this week.

Below you will find the full step-by-step tutorial so you can craft these cute little crepe paper acorns for fall. And at the end of the post you can easily download and print the PDF pattern for both the acorns and the fall leaves. Note that though I used a 2.5-inch foam ball, you can use almost any size —  just adjust the pattern to fit.

This is a fun project to do with the kids on a crisp fall afternoon. I am excited to show you how I will be using them along with my crepe flower mums and upcoming crepe artichokes. So stay tuned! This will be a crepe-filled week. Cheers! ~ Lia
