Crepe Paper Hypericum Berry Video Workshop
Let's 'crepe' a beautiful 'berry' special project together!
Grab your glue gun and your girlfriends — it’s time for an hour of crafting, creativity, and connection! Join us live on YouTube on Friday, August 29, 2025, at noon PT for a beginner-friendly workshop where we’ll show you how to make beautiful Crepe Paper Hypericum Berries. This sweet, simple design is the perfect entry point for anyone new to paper flower making — or anyone who just wants to spend a relaxing afternoon getting creative.

While yes, this project is beginner-friendly, it still offers plenty of satisfaction with minimal materials and effort. During the workshop, you’ll learn how to shape the tiny berries, assemble them into delicate clusters, and finish them off with a soft flourish of greenery. Additionally, Emily and I will share expert tips for working with crepe paper and using your glue gun with ease, so you’ll walk away with new skills and a handmade triumph you’ll be proud of.
Hypericum berries are often used in floral arrangements as a filler, but their gentle, round shape and soft colors make them a beautiful accent all on their own. We’ll be using peachy-pink and green tones for this live tutorial, so these berries will pair wonderfully with roses, hydrangeas, peonies, or even tucked into a seasonal wreath.
Whether you’re crafting solo or making it a girls’ afternoon, we hope you’ll join us for this fun, hour-long workshop. It’s a chance to get comfortable, learn something new, and create something beautiful with the beautiful people in your life. What could be better?
Before we get started, be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and set a reminder so you don’t miss the live stream. And once your Crepe Paper Hypericum Berries are complete, share your work with us using #MadeWithLia. We can’t wait to craft with you!

Leave a CommentI love these new patterns with the hole in the center (like the petals for the new Beginner Crepe Chrysanthemum)! It saves so much time and results in a more “balanced” flower/plant.
Yes! I love to find ways to make things easier. 🙂
Where is the video on how to fix the broken powder? I would LOVE to see it. Also, you typically have great notes of what color crepe paper to use and how many need to be cut on the template. I don’t see that info on this template. Can you help me with that information?
You can find it in this post towards the bottom: https://liagriffith.com/video-tips-tricks-for-using-panpastel-for-paper-flowers/
Thank you! I hate stem wrapping 24G wire. Torture, lol! So I didn’t do that part. But I love the changes from the last berries to this one. I made 12 branches of berries in all different colors using the pan pastel. They are so beautiful! I make all my plants/flowers in bulk and keep them displayed in a flower cart in my front room. Then when I want to make a bouquet, I have everything on hand to give a last minute gift! HUGE thanks for all the time and effort you not only put into the lessons, but customer support and answering questions. If you’re ever hiring for remote work, let me know! #dreamjob (P.S. If you’ve ever checked out my order history, you’ll see how obsessed I have become! I pretty much have a mini store of my own. Always have your materials/supplies on hand.)
Hello Whitney! We did see that you are loving crepe paper flower making! I promise that as you go, the 24-gauge wire wrap becomes more manageable. 🙂 Wish you could come to our event here at the studio this month, but maybe next year.
I SO wish I could come! My daughter passed away last year at the age of 13. We loved to do crafts together. I found crepe paper flowers after she passed away. It’s not just a hobby; it’s healing for me. It’s literally healing my heart. Creating something so beautiful from basic items makes me happy, and I love being able to gift them to make others smile. I listen to therapeutic podcasts while creating my flowers. Thank you for everything you all do. You’ve helped me start my healing process. Whoever knew that crepe paper flowers would help mend a broken heart?!
Oh Whitney. Tears down my cheeks. I am sending you love, dear sister. We are so blessed to hold you here in our loving community.
Can you put the template in black and white?
Yes! Updating the PDF right now. 🙂
I am eager to make more felt flowers. Can I use this pattern and some of the simpler crepe patterns with felt?
This one would work with felt and you can use felt balls as well. We have a large library of felt flowers, too. https://liagriffith.com/search/?offset=0&orderby=date&order=desc&per_page=12&search=&relation=and&tax-category=2295%2C2306
Crafting is so calming and good for our nervous system. I hope you enjoy this workshop!
When I look at the picture of these berries, I’m put off by the tiny holes at the top. Is this actually on the berries themselves? If not, can they be filled somehow?? Thanks.
These are added with a marker! They are not holes, but the tiny coloration that you will find on the berry. Do a quick Google for Pink Hypericum if you want to see. And of course, you can certainly skip that step. 🙂
On my PC I’ve found a tutorial from 2017 – Berry branch generally.
Will there be an actual one regarding Hypericum?
We will have a new tutorial for this one. I have changed it a bit.
Aug 29th is a Friday
You are right! Corrected!
I like Hypericum very much, both blossom and berries are wonderful fillers in bunches and the bushes themselves in the garden between shrubs and annual flowers.
I have several of them with berries in white, salmon colour and bright red. They are so easy to grow – cut a little branch, put it into the soil and soon it will have roots. No trouble with hot and dry summer (we had a very hot June without no rain for weeks), no trouble with rain (lots of water during the last 3 weeks). A perfect plant for the garden or a big pot
I love all the color varieties they come in, too. I used these a lot when I had my flower shop.
