Hi Lia,
The photo tutorial needs to be corrected. Step 2 shows the full page of crepe paper and you say to cover it with Modge Podge as opposed
to cutting out he leaves then covering the leaves with Modge Podge.
Hi Laura, the instructions are correct for how we made this project. However if you are using a cutting machine to cut your leaves you will want to cut the crepe paper before applying mod podge to the leaves.
Do I use the usual Cricut settings to cut the crepe paper after coating it with mod podge? i.e. I normally use the pink mat, a rotary cutter and the denim setting to cut double sided paper. Is that still the case here?
Hi Emily! If you’re using your Cricut, you would need to cut first and then apply Mod Podge to each leaf.
I’m trying this out for the first time. I am using glossy mod podge, does that matter?
Also it seems to be on the flimsy side is that normal? I coated both sides of the paper.
Thank you!
Kristin
Hi Kristen once you allow the mod podge to fully cure it should become a bit more stiff. It doesn’t matter if you use a mat or glossy mod podge. You can apply another coat on either side if you like and see if that helps it stiffen up a bit more.
What material setting should be used if cutting with Cricut Maker?
The cotton setting works great for double-sided!
I totally don’t get the instructions 😩 Could you do a photo tutorial please? I’m lost on the taping and staggering of the leaves part. Help! Thanks amy
Ack! The tutorial didn’t make it for some reason– it’s there now!
