Though this craft is very approachable for our new crafters, we still recommend a cutting machine. However, you’re always welcome to cut your pieces by hand if you’d prefer. Just be sure to download the PDF version of our template. If you look to the right, you’ll find a list of all the materials and tools you’ll need to create your own Crepe Paper Snowberry Branch. Once you’re ready, then join us in the tutorial below!
I love designing ways to bring a touch of nature indoors during the cold winter months. With their snowy appearance, these whimsical berries perfectly embody the quiet wonder of winter. An undoubtedly fitting choice for this month’s collection. Snowberries, also known as Symphoricarpos, are not only beautiful but also hold a fascinating history. Traditionally used by Native Americans for medicinal purposes, these berries have a unique resilience that echoes the spirit of winter itself.
To create our snowberry branches, we first chose our double-sided crepe paper in shades that, together, form the perfect palette to replicate the muted tones of winter foliage. As for our snowberries, we kept it simple by incorporating 6 and 8-mm spun balls with just a dot of brown to make them look more realistic. The result is a stunning, elegant piece that would look beautiful in a vase all on its own. We think these snowberries would be equally lovely as accents in a larger floral arrangement as well.
No matter how you decide to style them, we’d love to see these lovely Crepe Paper Snowberry Branches once they’re complete. Be sure to upload and share your pics with us in our crafters’ community or on Instagram with the hashtag #MadeWithLia.

Hi – I am attempting to do these and I was wondering approximately how far up do you wrap the 3 stems together.
Each of the small branches can vary, so I would leave 2-4 inches unwrapped to be able to move them into a splay. I LOVE this project! Can’t wait to use them in some Christmas arrangements. 🙂
Where is the photo tutorial?
It is in the one folder with the templates and tutorials.
Why is it that when I click the download button Tools and Materials come up only?
Hi Nancy, when you click the button there should be a pop up that shows the folder. All three of the files are in the one folder. Do you have pop-ups blocked?
