Become a MemberIt’s really not far until July 4th now and we have been having fun designing printables, projects and tutorials for a handcrafted Independence Day. We have already shared our July 4th party invitations featuring a dip die indigo design, and a 3D paper star garland and today we continue the theme with these pretty July 4th cupcake decorations. We always use cupcake wrappers on either homemade or store bought cupcakes when we have an event or special afternoon at the studio. It is the little details like that which we feel create a super-gorgeous handmade look to an event. Handcrafting your life doesn’t have to involve hours and hours of skilled crafting on the run up to a special occasion. You can download and print these pretty wraps using the link at the end of the post.
Tools:
- Scissors or Cricut
Materials:
- White Cardstock
- Red Cardstock
- Dark Blue Cardstock
For the toppers we used our Cricut Explore to cut the star bursts, and hand cut a little blue pom to add to the festive look. If you don’t have a cutting machine, no worries as we also included the printable PDF pattern so you might cut by hand. Keep your eye on the blog for more fab July 4th projects, ideas and inspiration including yummy food recipes and more printables. And if you add a little handcrafted love to your Independence day celebrations please do share pictures of your projects with us on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter – we LOVE seeing your work! Enjoy! ~ Lia

I am a new member : ) This is so much fun making decorations for a 4th of July Party.
My daughter’s birthday is on the 4th and my grand daughter’s birthday is June 30th. They are going love all the paper star lighted garlands I am making for the patio hanging lights. Also, I am going to make cupcakes and use the decorations for them. I am excited and happy to make so many beautiful accents for the party. I feel like a little kid cutting and pasting.
Thank you and your great team for the great ideas. Love, love, love them.

Hi Lia, I stopped getting images in my email newsletter since you updated your site. Is this is a glitch or supposed to be that way now?
Yes, that is a glitch that we have on our fix it list with the dev team. Thanks for pointing out the importance as I have moved it to the top of the list. 😉
