What a busy week this has been. I was working hard to finish at least one room for another home tour and I am close, but did not quite get there. I am off to San Francisco today for a writer’s conference so I needed to grab one of my “oldie but goodie” tutorials to share before I rush off to the airport. I made this frame over a year ago, shared it on my former blog and now after 14 months for testing will tell you that. . . I LOVE this jewelry display. I wouldn’t change a thing. When I share my bedroom tour (hopefully next week) you will see where I keep it in my room, always filled with my favorite necklaces, earrings and a few bracelets. Here are a few close ups of the frame, hooks and linen used to hook the earrings into. Indeed it is quite chic and very functional! Have a great weekend and I will see you next week for more home decor tutorial. Cheers! Lia

I am going to make this for my daughter for Christmas. But I’m confused on how to attach the inner frame that is covered in the linen to the outer original frame. Thanks!
Hi Melisa! The inside frame should fit nice and snug to the outer frame, so you don’t need to use anything to secure it. You certainly could add a staple or small nail where the frames overlap if it seems as if it will pop out.

Hi
I really like what you have done;can you tell me where to get the trim wood? I have checked a couple of local stores they are not sure what I am asking for.
Thanks
Pam
Thank you! Try your local hardware store, and bring your outer frame with you so they can measure exactly what you need 🙂

Hi Lia, I really love how you’ve altered this frame – what a brilliant way to display your lovely jewellery. Just got a bit confused though as I think pics 1 and 3 have some references to flowers for a wreath?? Margie
Oh goodness me! That is what happens when I am rushing out the door to catch my plane to San Francisco. I have fixed it. Thanks for pointing it out. 😉
Hope you have a great time at the writers conference. Like the jewelry organizer. Looks like it works great, making finding pieces easier. I have things I forget to wear since they’re in a drawer somewhere. Great post and idea. Happy weekend
Thanks lady! Have a wonderful weekend. 🙂
