The Easter Bunny has been a beloved mascot of the holiday for centuries, but he got his start in Germany. Legend tells the tale of the “Osterhase,” a creature who delivered colorful eggs for children to find during Easter celebrations. Over time, this tradition blossomed, transforming the Easter Bunny into a global symbol of joy, bringing delight to young and old alike.
Crafted from soft, white felt, this little bunny boasts a simple yet charming design. But don’t be fooled by its minimalist look – the details truly make it special. Tiny safety eyes peek out from its face, while its pink padded paws add a touch of whimsy. Finally, to top it all off, a cute felt wool ball tail gives this bunny a playful personality all its own.
Whether tucked into an Easter basket alongside other cuddly friends or kept as a special treat for yourself (we understand!), this Mini Felt Easter Bunny is sure to bring a smile. Share your finished creations with our crafting community or on Instagram using #MadeWithLia.

How tall is the bunny>
About 5 inches.
Hello, What beads do you use for the eyes for the bunny and other felt animals?Size?
Hi! The eyes are 5mm safety eyes that we sell in our shop!
Hi Lia, Beautiful bunny. What did you use for the nose and where can I buy it?
Thank you
Thank you Sonia! The nose is made from felt, as shown in the template 🙂
Love this little guy, as well as so many, many items on your site! Just a request though. Now that the Cricut Maker has been out for a while, and since it cuts felt with ease, it would be awesome to see all these felt projects available as SVG files. I can do a screenshot, then do an upload and “clean up” the file, but this would just save me, and I’m sure many others, some time. Plus we would be able to ungroup each item and move them around on the canvas to save felt. Thanks for considering this enhancement request!
Hi Kathleen! The bunny SVG has been uploaded to the post!
Are the arms and legs actually four pieces each? They are marked as two but assume that’s for one arm one leg. Thanks.
Oh goodness! Thank you for catching that– yes, 2 for each arm and leg, so 4 total.
I adore this little bunny. Thank you so much for sharing
What type of felt and where did you get it from?
Sue
Thank you Sue! I linked to each of the felt colors in the materials list. It is a wool blend felt from our shop. 🙂
Your Bunny is so Sweet, I want to make one & know everyone who see it will want one, too!
Thanks Sylvia!
Hi Lia! Love your site and your aesthetic. Such beautiful things! I’m wondering what kind (brand and model) of glue gun you recommend for your fine crafts (like paper flowers and these felt animals)? The one in the photos looks like it has a very fine tip. Also, is it cordless? Thanks!
Thank you so much Marisa! I always like using Ad Tech lo temp glue guns. Low temperature is great because there is a smaller chance of burning or hurting yourself, but just know that the glue dries faster when it is low temp. Best of luck!
What a sweet bunny! I’ve included a link to your project in my latest blog post: http://abusylittlebird.com/easy-craft-ideas-for-spring-celebrations. Thank you!
