Felt_Garland_DIY
I am slowly revealing bits of my DIY woodland themed Christmas tree ornaments and decor and today it is all about the garland. I wanted the garland on my tree to make a statement and stand out on its own. After looking at several possibilities I decided to make something from a wool blend felt to add a touch of softness. I purchased a yard of wool blend felt at my local fabric store and cut the leafy pattern in strips the length of the felt. Once cut, there are tabs on both ends to sew the strips together for a full garland. This soft white wool leaf garland is the perfect touch! You can make a garland as well and use it for your tree, mantel or to hang over your door. This is something I will store after the holidays and be excited to use year after year. At the end of the post is the printable pattern for the leaf garland. You can visit this post for a SVG cut file. For best results, print onto 11×17 paper or select the tile option for 8.5×11 and tape the pattern together. Of course you can enlarge or reduce the garland pattern if you like. I made mine in a white wool and this would also be gorgeous in green with red berries. What do you think? Make sure and come back on Black Friday to see the full tree reveal. Enjoy! ~ Lia
