- Gather the tools and materials listed above.
- Using wire cutters, cut 2” lengths of the 26-gauge wire.
- Place a pea sized dab of glue on the tip of the wire. Hold it upside down as it dries to form a tear drop shape.
- Paint your stamen as you wish. We painted ours white with a yellow top and a small red center.

Which flowers use these larger stamens? Also, if you guys would make “forget me not’s”, I’ll literally be your best friend. I love you guys so much. This has been my saving grace during covid. And I started bringing them to work (white house black market) and placing them throughout the store, and I get complimented daily and also people wanting to buy the their own! So for all of the above, I thank you. Deeply and from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.
Sincerely ,
Nicole Reams
Nicole that means so much to all of us! I’m so glad you’ve found so much joy in your creations, and LOVE that others love them, too!! We’ll add forget me nots to our idea list for 2021 🙂 As far as the stamens, some of our crepe paper flowers that could use this technique are any of the poinsettias, hellebores, and peonies.
what brand name is a good low temp glue gun? i live in Canada and cant find one with a pointed tip. im stuck using a hot glue gun n my god do my fingers suffer for it. there are lots of them on Amazon but i dont want to accidentally buy a low quality one as i make flowers often.
Hi Tina! We know finding the perfect glue gun can be difficult! We use this glue gun in our craft room: Amazon – Ad Tech High Temp Glue Gun. Hope this helps!
