Become a MemberDid you know that bohemian jewelry is the new fashion craze here in Portland? When I heard that Duck Tape has created 12×12 sheets that can be cut on the Cricut Explore I knew I had to try them out. After all, I am always up for a challenge, right? Bohemian jewelry made from Duck Tape. . . a perfect gift for this my 10-year old friend, Olivia. For the earrings and necklace I picked two of Duck Tape’s prints. One solid color and one with a pattern, I chose the purple glitter and Ikat pattern for the bohemian look I knew she would love. These Duck Tape sheets will be available soon, and I will let you know where to get them. You can use any other pattern or even the rolls for this project as well. I cut 7 sets, each set includes one small feather and one larger feather. For the earrings I slide one small and one large feather onto an o-ring, that I bought at my local craft store, and then attached onto an earring hook. For the necklace I added metal spacers in between each feather set . Voila! One very happy young lady showing off her new accessories. For the feather cut files, find them right here in Design Space. Enjoy~ Lia

So we have to pay for these in DS? Even if we are a paid member of this site and DS?
No, I just added the SVG file download to the post for our members to have 🙂
thank you so kindly. Love your site by the way!!
I received my Explore for Christmas and tried to make this as a beginner project. I first cut it out with cardstock and it cut perfectly, but I encountered some problems with the layered duck tape. What custom setting works best? The duck tape setting tore the material; the light cardstock setting cut better, but not completely through both layers, so the intricut cuts were not clean. The vinyl setting did not work either. Suggestions?
I might suggest putting in a fresh blade. It seemed to cut very smoothly on ours and we trimmed some tiny feathers.
Lovely – both the jewelry and your young friend. What a great idea. Thanks for the link to Cricut’s Design Space. A lot of great stuff there!
Thank you, she is a darling!
These are so cute! I have a couple of granddaughters who would love this also.
I am sure they would love it, Duck Tape is one of the hottest trends at the moment.
This is just awesome Lia . Will this product be available in the UK. Want to have a play .
Sue x
I hope it will be available in the UK, but I don’t know. It is very hot in the States at the moment so I would be surprised if they don’t sell them over there.
