Wool felt and fall go together like milk and cookies in my world. It goes without saying then that our fall felt brooch is a match made in crafting heaven! Using good quality felts in mossy green, burnt orange, marsala red, purple, and a soft misty mauve, we added stitches in contrasting embroidery threads to really make this piece pop.

Built on top of a circular magnet, this DIY brooch is super easy to use. Just pop the two magnets on either side of your blouse or jacket—no awkward pins needed! It’s a wonderful afternoon craft that makes the perfect handmade gift for a friend or a loved one during the holiday season. You can also see how we used them on this host gift bottle wrap, if you need another idea for how to use it!

To make this fall felt brooch, begin by downloading our leaf templates below. Print the patterns and transfer the shapes to your felt using a piece of chalk or fabric pencil. Cut the leaves, add the simple running stitches, and begin to assemble using a low-temperature glue gun. Our tutorial below shows you how!
