Felt Ball Wreath
Our felt ball wreath is the perfect project for someone who does not like to go all out with holiday decorations. This wreath is not specifically associated with the holidays, but it is a fun piece of decor you can use for the colder months. We came up with this felt ball wreath idea after we had leftover materials from our felt DIY trivet. This project is extremely simple (which we love!) and it could be a fun project to get the kids in on.
You only need two materials for this felt ball wreath – felt balls and an embroidery hoop. We used a combination of 1.5 and 2cm felt balls for ours, but you can choose any size that you would like. This is one of those projects that you can very easily customize to make your own. We wanted to go with a cool color palette with little pops of magenta for some variety.
You can also do your own customizing with the size of the wreath. We used an 8-inch embroidery hoop, but this design would make for a great mini wreath. Once you have your materials ready, you can start attaching your balls in any random assortment. Of course we used our trusty hot glue gun for this. @Fran
Back to the TopI made this and added some tiny fairy lights around it…it is just beautiful. I also ordered enough felt balls for a garland! Thank you!
Ooh so pretty!!
Hello! Just found your site and love it!! About how many balls of each size would one need to complete this project?
Yay I’m so glad you found us 🙂 We used around 100 balls total (55-60 of the larger size and 35-40 of the smaller).
