Summer Bulletin BoardJune has just begun, which means that we are entering the final weeks (or days!) of the school year. To help welcome summer, we decided to create this end-of-the-school-year DIY specifically for teachers! Our summer bulletin board is adorable and colorful, just how we like it. Give your students the perfect summer send-off with some of our easy ideas.

The basic concept of our bulletin board was to design a pretty arrangement with white frames and some paper flower accents. One of the downloads in the set includes blank calendars, which should be printed onto 8.5 x 11 white card stock. We cut various shapes on our cutting machine to make the little tags that you can stick onto your calendar. Moving clockwise on the board, you can find the downloads for the summer reading list and “school days left” countdown. The summer reading list download includes the header, which you can also print onto 8.5 x 11 white card stock. The actual reading list is completely editable and should be printed onto copy paper so you can easily hand them our to your students. To edit the reading list, download and install the free fonts Pupcat and Arcon. Pupcat should be used to edit the grades at the top of the list, and Arcon can be used to edit the list of books. To create the countdown of the school days left, we used a tag shape and wrote the numbers in with marker. Print the pink background of the countdown onto white card stock. If you have a cutting machine, you can use our SVG file to make the grade sign. The download includes every letter of the alphabet, so you can write out any grade that you may teach. If you do not have a cutting machine, you can recreate this sign by using the free Pupcat font from the summer reading list. The next download is for the motivational signs that read “Way to Go!” and “Well Done!” Print this PDF onto card stock and trim to size. We cut the stars and the paper daisies using more SVG file shapes. The last (and best!) piece of our summer bulletin board is the pretty “Hello Summer!” sign. Again, if you have a cutting machine, you can use our SVG file to cut the message onto card stock, or you can recreate it using the Pupcat font. We made a grassy scene (also included in the SVG file download), and then created adorable woodland animals using the pieces from this project. And with that our summer bulletin board was complete!

Now I want to take the opportunity to thank all the incredible teachers out there who put so much effort into raising our next generation. You are the hardest workers around and we all appreciate what you do! Happy Summer to all!! ~ Lia
