Holiday Vinyl Tray Decoration
Our pretty Holiday tray decoration set makes a great hostess gift or treat for those who love to entertain. They are both super-simple to make and if you have a cutting machine, you can have these two little beauties whipped up in an hour. It’s a tricky pattern to cut by hand but is by no means impossible! Simply click on the PDF below, print onto a sheet of adhesive vinyl and cut with a crafting knife. Peel off the backing and stick in place on your chosen tray, making sure you rub down firmly for a couple minutes. If you have a cutting machine, click on the SVG file below and print and cut on your machine. Weed away the parts of the vinyl that you do not need and then add the transfer paper to the front of the design. Carefully peel the vinyl and transfer paper off the back and stick it in place on your tray. You can buy adhesive vinyl in a multitude of colors so think about creating a Holiday tray set that feels right. You can pick up these two gorgeous metallic trays in West Elm (shop this project below) – I think they are perfect for the time of year! Enjoy! ~ Lia

I was wondering how the new Cricut cut out crepe paper. Does it come out sharp or are the edges somewhat jagged?
It cuts beautifully! The edges are crisp and clean when using the rotary blade.
Thanks, for that information. What do you suggest adding to the Cricut when I purchase one.? I’m certain there are items one would want to have immediately.
I’m not sure what the machine comes with these days, but you’ll certainly want all the basic tools (scraper, spatula, weeder) and a scoring tool. I also recommend getting more than one mat (the variety pack of different adhesive levels is great).
Lovely! Inspired! Please tell me which kind of paints did you use for the project?
Thanks!! No painting– it’s all white vinyl cut on the Cricut 🙂
Hello Lia! Love this! I’ve been wanting to buy some vinyl to use in my Cricut machine but have heard the the Cricut vinyl isn’t the best. What brand do you use? Or are there any other brands you trust?
I always use Cricut vinyl! I’ve actually had great experiences with it. I’ve washed my dishes dozens of times and the vinyl is still as fresh as when I first put it on!
Thanks Lia! I bought the cricut vinyl, so far, so good :).
Awesome!!
I’m new to Cricut and to Lisa Griffith and am wondering if it is possible to upload images from my IPad to Cricut Design. I have been trying to figure out a way to cut the pattern for the beautiful white holiday felt wreath on my Cricut Explore Air. Can you help? Thanks.
I don’t want to give you any incorrect information so I would ask Cricut this!
