Hi…I have a new blade and a new mat. All cut well but the ferns. Setting light cardstock and more pressure. Any ideas? Thanks!
Make sure the blade is clean (or you can even try another new one!), and try the Copy Paper setting +more, or default.
Do you have instructions for this beautiful wreath? I searched YouTube and did not find any instructions there. If not, can you tell me if you have similar instructions? I do not know how to attach to a metal ring.
Thank you!
Hi! This specific wreath is for the Jennifer Maker class mentioned in the post. But the magnolia flower is available here (https://liagriffith.com/crepe-paper-holiday-magnolia/), and this video shows one way to adhered flowers to a metal wreath form (https://liagriffith.com/blooming-heart-wreath/), but you can also just wrap the wire stem around the ring, and secure with hot glue.
I was part of the VIP Holiday Maker Fest. Will you be getting more of the kit or offering the individual items at the offered discount?
Hi Kathy! Yes, we are just waiting for the bind wire to become available again. It should be any day now but you can email us at hello@liagriffith.com later in the week to check in.
I watched the video Lia did at the Holiday Maker Fest and enjoyed! Are you going to post the video at liagriffith.com for members?
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! This was an exclusive post for Jennifer Maker and her followers. We do have a video of a magnolia if that helps! https://liagriffith.com/crepe-paper-holiday-magnolia/
I can’t wait to make this! How do you hang it up, especially if you don’t want the design to be on the bottom?
We love the small clear 3M Command hooks for hanging our wreaths!
Is the gold hoop included in the bundle. I don’t see it shown, but it also isn’t listed separately in the materials needed?
Hi Joanne! The bundle does not include the gold hoop right now– it just went out of stock so we removed it and reduced the price accordingly. There is a link to a similar hoop available on Amazon!
this is absolutely beautiful! Thank you so much for your class. I truly learned a lot from you. I have made card stock flowers before but never these. I have learned that you can buy crepe paper sheets….lol. I never knew that before. Your wreath looks so realistic, Im guessing its the crepe paper that makes them that way? Thank you again Mrs. Lia
I’m so glad you enjoyed the class! Yes, crepe paper is so delicate and can be shaped to look so realistic. It’s my favorite! You should give it a try 😉
What size is the ring?
10″– there’s a link in the post to where you can find it on Amazon.
This is absolutely beautiful, I can’t wait to make one! Thanks so much for providing us the free cut files!
You’re so welcome!
Again, still can’t get into the file, Candice Holmes here had this problem a few weeks ago when I joined your site not can’t get the PDF file for the Magnolia wreath on Holiday Maker Fest that you demoed in. Please help would love this template.
Are you receiving an error message? Everything is working fine on our end so unfortunately I’m not sure what the issue could be.
How come I can’t get the patterns to download to my cricut. It says it’s not a supported file. What do I do to save it so that it will open?
Make sure you are unzipping the folder that downloads to your computer. It will extract 2 separate SVGs for you to upload into Design Space.
Even tho it says it’s a “holidayMakerFest_SVGs” file, it downloads as a Chrome HTML Document. Any ideas?
This happened once before with one of your files, but i can’t remember how to fix it.
I spent about an hour with Geek Squad and got the problem solved. Yeah!
Oh good I’m so glad you figured it out and can make this project!!
I could not get the Winter Magnolia to download to cricut. It also said “not a supported file”?
Hi Kathi– make sure you unzip the folder that you download from our site before uploading to Design Space.
I finally shut everything down and re started. Got it….
Oh good!!
Hi Lia,
I can’t find pdf files for this project, only svg. You mention the grain lines on the petal template, but no template is provided that I can find.
Thanks,
Julie
The PDF is at the bottom of the post ready to download!
Absolutely beautiful.
Thank you!!
Don’t have a cricut, how do I get a PDF file.
It’s at the bottom of the post 🙂
I really enjoyed your video. the wreath really did come to life.
Thanks so much, I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it!
In the MakerFest video you mentioned that the pattern is available in .pdf. I’m not finding that. Can you tell me where to find it to download? Thanks.
It’s at the bottom of the post 🙂
I would like to download the .pdf files to cut out. Where can I download these files? I see the .svg files.
Thanks,
The PDF is there now!
Hello- what setting on the Cricut do you cut your frosted craft paper? I am using the pearl paper setting which I thought was the closest and it is ripping some of the design. Also in order to prepare for the class tomorrow it would be great to know what we need to cut out of each color so that we can be all ready to make the wreath. Thank you for your help. Coleen Barnes
Hi! We have found it cuts best with a newer mat and sharp blade on the Copy Paper +more setting, or the Light Cardstock setting. You can do a few test cuts first – I like to draw circles in Design Space and test cut those! I just updated the post with quantities for the greenery.
Thanks so much! I appreciate it. Love this wreath! Coleen Barnes
Yay I’m so glad!
