Every year we come out with new candy huggers for Valentine’s Day — and other holidays too! (Have you seen our St. Patrick’s Day candy huggers?) After illustrating our mermaid valentines, Krista designed these adorable mermaid candy huggers that are easy to craft.
If you’re using your cutting machine, just download our SVG file below. Or you can cut your mermaid candy huggers by hand using our PDF template. We have a pre-colored template to make it easier for kiddos to cut, or you can print out the black and white version for them to color in.
Fishing You a Happy Valentine’s Day
These mermaid candy huggers are a sweet way to say happy Valentine’s Day. Craft them as a fun surprise for your littles — or your kiddos can join in on the crafting fun! For a non-candy valentine, you can always wrap your mermaid’s hands around a cutout heart, a small and cute school supply like a pencil or magnet, or some other little toy.
You will only need a few simple crafting tools and some paper to make your mermaid candy huggers. We have linked everything we used below, but feel free to use whatever you prefer or have on hand.
