Dream Tree Challenge Reveal
Designing and making Christmas tree decorations is one of my favorite aspects of Holiday preparations. I am loving a palette of glitter gold and bright, crisp white this Holiday season and am always inspired by Scandinavian design. So this year the team and I indulged ourselves in both, to create a tree that I am truly proud of.

Become a MemberStarting with a gorgeous 7ft pre-lit willow pine tree, we hung a selection of solid gold colored baubles around the entire tree. We wanted to DIY as many of our Christmas tree decorations as possible, so we started by indulging our Scandi-loving hearts to make sweet paper house ornaments that fit directly onto the lights of the tree. To include that all important texture, we made pretty wooden stars using natural willow and twine, and couldn’t resist bringing back our favorite felt garland from last year.
The glitter gold, silver, black, cream and white geodes were all handmade. And those expensive looking wooden baubles were made by painting geometric patterns in gold, copper and white onto a selection of inexpensive wood balls.
Our pièce de résistance are the little pinecone bird ornaments, in all their snowy glory. Made with painted pine cones, wooden balls and a little felt, our handmade bird ornaments add that touch of fun that every great Christmas tree needs!
We will be sharing patterns and tutorials for all of our handmade Christmas tree decorations in the coming days. Don’t want to miss out? Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to see what we are sharing next. See you there! ~ Lia
