The trick to getting these paper anemones just right is to practice the curling technique that I used on the petals and leaves. It’s a simple process but takes a little confidence and just the right amount of pressure. So take a couple of scrap pieces of paper, the same weight as the paper you intend to make your flowers with, and play! Experiment with using both sides of your scissors – the blunt side and then the sharp side, and choose which way you prefer. Curl away from you in different directions, with different amounts of pressure each time and take note of how it changes the paper. Within in a few minutes you will understand the feel of the paper and be better equipped to go ahead and create something beautiful! As usual I have provided the SVG file for those of you who are using a cutting machine and a PDF of the templates for those of you who will be cutting by hand. Enjoy! ~ Lia
