Crafting with the Stars
New Year’s Eve is the perfect excuse to pull out all the stops. Take this holiday to the next level with glamorous retro-inspired decor such as our New Year’s Eve garland. We’ve included a number nine in the templates so you can recreate this garland any or all of the years up through 2022! Simply gather your supplies and download our templates from below. We’ve created both an SVG and PDF version. Designer Krista used Paper Paper FAV Shimmer text weight paper for our stars, but she recommends using the heavier weight cardstock version for a more longer-durable decoration.
Make your whole New Year’s a star-studded soiree with even more DIY decor such as our party invitations, mod starbursts, photo props, champagne cocktail, and crown. Cheers to a new year full of love and creativity!

Materials
Steps
- Cut out the templates with a cutting machine or by hand. If cutting by hand, use an X-Acto Blade with a hole punch for best results.
- Tie a length of gold thread to each star.
- Attach by tying to a longer length of gold thread. Stagger the stars how you like. You can add a bit a glue at the ends of the thread to prevent fraying.

Hi there, do you have the 2018 SVG handy to post? I’m making a teacher gift with 2021 on it, and I just need the “1” for the new year banner. Thank you in advance! π
