Paper Evergreen Holiday Wreath
Make your own stunning paper Holiday wreath and start your Holiday crafting off with a bang! Our Evergreen Holiday wreath is a lot of fun to make. The file below contains the templates for all the different types of leaves you need. We created an asymmetric design by concentrating our holly and berries across one third of the wreath – we’re a little giddy over the design if you don’t mind me saying! Begin with a 12 -14″ floral wreath form and add your paper leaves on top of one another as you work your way around. We used over 100 leaves to achieve this beautiful, full looking Holiday wreath so be generous and really pack them in tightly – the wreath will benefit from it! Use a low temperature glue gun to secure the leaves and berries in place, and make sure you work around the wreath so as to cover the inner and outer edges. Another tip is to score some of the paper leaves down the middle before you add them to the wreath. This will give the leaves a little depth and dimension which will further help you create a full looking piece.

Okay, so no text weight paper in this wreath, just cardstock of our choosing? Would the spun balls be good too for berries? Why were the wooden balls selected for this project?
Thanks,
Cher
Hi Cher! This is a slightly older project that was created before we really fell in love with the flexibility of text weight paper, but you are welcome to use whatever paper you prefer! Same for the berries– we used wooden beads because we hadn’t discovered cotton spun balls yet, but those would work great here.
Hi Lia,
We have a front door that gets very hot. I’ve made wreaths before with hot glue and they have sadly melted. Do you have any suggestions for alternatives to hot glue?
Tacky Glue has been working well for our crepe paper projects, you could certainly try it with regular paper!
what colors of paper did you use for this?
Hi Mary,
Unfortunately this is an older project and these paper colors may not be available. However we did use a variety of green card stock colors from Michaels, we would suggest checking out what they have available as you can buy single sheets from them to mix and match colors!
I would love to see this paper wreath idea done in felt.
Great idea! I’ll add it to our list 🙂
I am so impressed with this crown, I do not know what to do. There are a XCUT dies, DIE XCUT (D-XCU503194) COMPATIBLE WITH LEAVES sizzix, which has these leaves, I have only BigShot, and I’m not regretting both have expected a bit more … I’m addicted to crafts and I have serious problems with my hands, so I have to find solutions that do not harm me … but that’s expensive.
I think I’ll save that money and go to buy a gathering machine design, cutting … yehhh !!!
This is stunning! I’ve seen so many amazing projects created with the Cricut Explore lately–maybe I need to add it to my Christmas list! Thanks for sharing! xo
oh we definitely think that the Cricut is a great gift for Christmas 🙂 We couldn’t live without ours! It seriously opens up so many possibilities!!
Beautiful as always! I love the colors you chose too.
Thank you, thank you! 🙂

Beautiful wreath! I can’t get
the template as I don’t have
a membership? Is there
another way to get it?
Thanks.
Carla from Utah
Thank you, I’m so glad you like the wreath! Unfortunately the only way to get the template is to create a membership 🙂
How wonderful can you and team make a simple wreath? It is splendid, would sure love to make it. Looks like maybe more than I’ll have time for this year but better believe I’ll be making it next year. Don’t want to over commit myself but would love to be making this. When I do make it want to do it right as you have. Having only one third of wreath with berries and holly leaves is smart idea, gives it special look, can’t think of correct technical term. Will need to look back to see what papers were used so I can get them.
Got my paper order for acorns from Paper-Papers.com and was very pleased with quality of paper, makes working with papers much easier. Will be ordering
more paper from them. Got order quickly.
Have wonderful weekend – all of you
Thank you so much for the well wishes, we hope you have a great weekend too Jane!
PS. We LOVE the metallic paper from Paper-Papers, we use it all the time 🙂
Really pretty! What colors/brand of paper did you use?
Thank you, I’m so glad you like it! We used a few different types of cardstock from Michaels to make it. The first two are by Bazzill Basics Paper in Avocado and Green Briar (green briar is the polka dotted one). The other two are from the Recollections cardstock brand. Because these colors come in packs, they do not seem to specify the names of the colors. I’m sorry we aren’t able to be more specific! Best of luck to you in your crafting endeavors!
