Frosted Paper Flowers for String Lights
There are so many fun ways to decorate with paper flowers. Other than going in a bouquet, you can make paper flowers for wreaths, frame them to create some pretty artwork for your walls, or create cake toppers. For our August Collection, we’ve come up with a new decoration idea — paper flower string lights!
This is an easy craft that kids can help assemble. Plus you will only need some glue, paper, string lights, and scissors. For faster assembly, you can always use a cutting machine.

Hi Lia,
I can’t tell from your files but the white frosted paper is used for which part? Thanks
This project does not use white. It uses colors 1, 2, and 3 of the Citrus Pack, and white is color 4.
Can you please tell me when I will be able to download more projects? I was charged the $9.99 again but it still says that I have reached my monthly limit.
Hi Tammy! The downloads reset at the start of each month. You can learn more details here: https://liagriffith.com/faq/
Beautiful, thanks lia,I’ll sure be making these for my granddaughters bedrooms x
Oh I love that!
I made two strings of these with my granddaughters and now they have them hanging in their “home” school. I love you guys a lot. You’ve all been a bright spot during this horrible pandemic. Thanks so much for your beautiful inspiration!! I’d love to post a pic if I can figure it out!

Hi there: I have started crafting again after a lengthy hiatus. I’m a fairly new member just trying out your crafts and papers for the first time. Your projects are beautiful! I am working on the flowers for string lights. Instructions and paper are very clear. I have been having trouble, though, gluing the paper with my hot glue gun. The glue doesn’t seem to adhere to the paper. Any thoughts or advice? Can Elmer’s glue work for this craft just as well? Many thx. Please take good care.
Hi Laurie,
You will want to be sure you are using a high temp hot glue gun, the low temp doesnt seem to stick well to frosted paper. A basic white glue such as Aleene’s or Elmers should work for this project as well. 🙂
Thx Lia…the flowers turned out great — pics to follow!
Yay we can’t wait to see!
