Papercut Scandinavian Holiday Gift Tags
Creating a beautifully wrapped gift can be as satisfying as finding the perfect gift itself don’t you think? Our papercut holiday gift tags make the perfect addition to your Christmas gifts and can be cut on a personal cutting machine or we have a version for you to print as well. Our four gift tags are inspired by Scandinavian design and use simple shapes and cut-outs to create gorgeous winter animal tags. We cut ours using our Cricut Explore Air cutting machine but they can be cut by hand using a craft knife also. We are in love with BARC papers and used their white birch wood sheets to make these tags. The finish is perfect for this design and works well with natural twine or red striped butchers twine to tie them on to your gifts – so pretty! We are also including a full color PDF for those of you who love the design but don’t want to cut! Simply download the PDF and print onto white card stock then trim the edges of each design to create a more simple version – they are just as gorgeous though!

Hi
I am new to your site and love, love your designs and ideas. I have a Brother ScanNCut. Will your patterns work on that machine?
Welcome Barbara! We aren’t familiar with the ScanNCut, but have heard our files will work if converted. This article may be helpful!! http://embroidered-applique.com/how-to-use-an-svg-file-with-the-brother-scan-n-cut/
These are perfect…
I hope you make more Swedish/Scandinavian SVG files…I holding my breath for more ideas..
Thanks, Yvonne Lindquist
OK – I got some of the My Mind’s Eye wood paper and attempted the cuts using my Explore Air. The first sheet they came out perfect! The next sheet was a disaster and nothing was salvageable. I put in a new blade and tried again – but alas, that was also a total loss. 🙁 Suggestions? Tips? Ideas? I am hesitant to place another piece of the wood paper into the machine. I did have it cut the design 8 times (as suggested by many on various Cricut related blogs when using the wood paper). I loved how the first sheet turned out. . . would love to make more though! Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I actually don’t have too much experience cutting with wood paper! Unfortunately I don’t have any advice on this. I would try asking Cricut customer service to see if they have any tips! Good luck!
These animal tags are so delightful. Will really enjoy cutting them out. Think instead of trying to cut those little spaces with scissors or craft knife will color them with markers. Will use my cutting machine when I am better and can think straight. Hopefully hubs brain will be working better than mine at some point.
Heavens, had to scrub myself with soapy sponge all over, no lotions, creams, clean pj’s every night and clean towel every shower. On Monday a.m. have to put some strong stuff in my nose to prevent infection so close to surgical site. Why am I getting more nervous? Heck almost chickened out for my 2nd knee replacement but figured since we were there and I was ready might as well go thru with it. Then ended up having to wait for hours til they finally took me in to begin. My surgeon had an emergency come up. He was much sought after surgeon. Imagine he’s pretty popular in Bozeman, MT too. Wish I could go see him, really surprise him.
This surgery there are all new rooms and new operating rooms since last time. The hospital has been doing lots of fixing up and replacing since last surgery in 2009. Where did those years go. Am bit disappointed won’t get to stay the week to be spoiled, will go home after only 2 nights, bummer. Ah well, won’t cost as much that way. Each knee replacement was at least $60,000, yikes. Will be interesting to see what shoulders are worth. Each knee prosthesis cost $5,000, can you imagine?
Will be looking forward to getting on here to see what have missed after few days, depending on how I feel. Take care all, have great week
Good luck with your surgery Jane!! Don’t forget to take it easy! The website will be waiting for you when you return 🙂
Love these!! Used my Explore to write on them & then cut from some nice wood grain card stock.
That sounds gorgeous! Your gift recipients are very lucky 😉
These are so pretty Lia! I can’t wait to print them out and add them to my gifts. Thank you!
