Become a MemberOur papercut summer fox artwork is our fourth and final design from our Four Seasons Home Decor cartridge. And it is officially ready for you to download! Our designer Krista illustrated this gorgeously detailed design as well as our spring bird, fall owl, and winter deer.
All of these designs work together or as individual pieces, so the choice is up to you! You can hang all four up on the same wall, display them in different places in your home, or bring one out at a time depending on the season you’re in.
Foxy Artwork
Our papercut summer fox artwork is a super easy project to make at home. We recommend using a cutting machine with our SVG file below. But if you want to cut this by hand, we have also included a PDF template at the end of this post.
Along with our pattern, you’ll need some cardstock paper. We alternated between a natural white colored cardstock and a linen textured cardstock. We also used foam mounting squares between each layer to give it a 3D look.
Next, we put our papercut summer fox artwork into a simple 20″ x 20″ frame from IKEA. If you want to use a different frame size, you can resize the design to make it fit. This is a really simple way to decorate on a budget and bring some beautiful artwork into your home for a much lower price.
If you need some more DIY decorating ideas, you can pair this artwork with some paper flowers or plants. The flowers pictured above are our crepe paper dogwood branches, which we crafted nearly five years ago! And the flowers below are our crepe paper magnolias, which we made four years ago. We have since updated those designs and created new versions, but it’s fun to look back and see how well our paper flowers hold up!
Happy decorating! We hope you have enjoyed all four of our designs in this set. ~ Lia and team

I only see spring, summer and winter. What happened to Fall Autumn?
There is a link in the first paragraph for the other three. Here is the fall owl: https://liagriffith.com/papercut-fall-owl-artwork/
Does the frame have some depth to it? Or is a flat frame ok to use?
If you put foam spacers between the layers you will want a shadow frame that allows that depth.
I’m thinking of making this set of paper artwork. I am wondering if other people have made these with different colors for each layer. If so, what did you find that worked best?
Hi Leslie,
We would suggest asking this question in our member facebook page if you haven’t already!
hi – the top layer has an extra cut going diagonal into the flowers. I am unable to remove it in design space. Can you please fix this and upload a corrected SVG file? Thanks!
Thanks for letting us know about that Jennifer! That happens every so often, not sure why. I looked at the design file and didn’t see any extra cut points, but I re-saved the file and it looks fine now.
thanks!
I have a question about how you have used the frame. Are all the layers plus foam spacers at the back of the frame with the wooden frame block in front? Is there enough room?
Hi! They’re all in the front– the spacers are small so there’s plenty of room 🙂
These are so gorgeous………….so intricate! WOW
Thank you, Joyce!
