Become a MemberThe older I get, the more I realize how much I appreciate a few very special teachers that I had while I was growing up. As I watched my own daughter grow up, I saw how these special teachers can have a hugely positive impact on the way that our kids develop and turn into adults themselves. These teachers deserve to be recognized! The team and I loved coming up with teacher gift ideas this year and we are feeling really excited to share them with you. A few days ago we shared our delicious caramel apple (or peanut butter) teacher gift ideas, and today we have these adorable seed packet gifts for you!
The seed packet teacher gift ideas are a spin on our Earth Day craft idea. Teacher appreciation usually always falls at the end of the school year as both teachers and students prepare for summer break. We love the idea of giving seed packets as a gift because summer is the perfect time for gardening! To put together this teacher gift, you will need a small terra cotta pot and saucer, as well as the seed packets. We picked our pots at our local craft store and found a fantastic variety pack of vegetable seeds on Amazon. Next, download the PDF below for the cute teacher appreciation seed envelopes that read “Thank You for Helping Me Grow.” To edit the names on the bottom of both the front and back side of the envelope, install the free font Amatic Bold onto your computer. When you have edited the envelopes, you can print them out onto regular printer paper and then fold them together.
We decided to paint our terra cotta pots with chalk paint in a nice teal and black color scheme, but feel free to paint yours in any colors you would like, or not at all. It’s all up to you! If you use chalkboard paint, you can also add little messages directly onto your pots. To give your seed packet as a gift, you can stick it right into the pot, or you can tie it to the pot using a piece of string. We used our pot’s saucer as a little lid, and then tied it together using twine. We then added our seed envelope by punching a small hole in the corner and tying it to the pot with the twine. Below you will also find the SVG and PDF files for the paper leaf cut-out that you can also add as an extra gift tag!
Stay tuned for more teacher gift ideas coming up! We will be posting a gorgeous and personalized tote bag iron-on perfect for teachers. Be sure to also check out some of our teacher gift ideas from previous years! These gift tags and thank you notes are wonderful for attaching to any present. Enjoy! ~ Lia

It only allows me to edit one name for both packets. How can I edit each packet individually?
Thank you for catching that mistake! I uploaded a new PDF to allow for separate names for each packet. 🙂
how do you edit the names? I have the font but I can’t click on the actual file to redo the names.
I found it, thank you!
