Shamrock Treat Boxes
Look Inside for a Sweet Surprise
Is there ever a holiday that isn’t a good time to give a sweet gift? For Halloween we created treat boxes with bats, for Christmas we created treat boxes with holly leaves, and now we are debuting these shamrock treat boxes for St. Patrick’s Day. Just like any of our treat boxes, they are a great way to be thoughtful without putting in a lot of effort.

We made our cartons with three different types of cardstock: glittery gold, swiss dot and a regular textured cardstock in green. You are also welcome to cut these out of text weight paper, but they may be a bit flimsy for holding your goodies.
Assembling your Treat Boxes
Once you pick out your papers, you can download the design below. Use the SVG version with a cutting machine or the PDF file if you are cutting by hand. Trim and fold where the template indicates to assemble your shamrock treat boxes. Simple! When you are finished, parents can have their kids bring the treats to hand out at school, or teachers can hand them out to their students. They are also fun little gifts to give to your grandkids. For other clever ways to give treats on St. Patrick’s Day, be sure to take a look at our canvas treat bags or St. Patrick’s Day candy huggers!

I have cut treat box but is there tutorial how to assemble. I do not see that.
Hi Sherry,
We do not usually include tutorials for our simple treat boxes, if you are cutting this on your machine try referencing the PDF pattern to see where to fold. Fist score and fold all edges. Then fold up the two sides with the shamrocks and bring the shamrocks together. Then fold up one side with a slit in it and slide both shamrock sides through the slit. Then fold up the last side and slide both shamrocks through the slit. Fold both shamrock sides flat to hold box closed. 🙂
I love the little Shamrock boxes and I plan on making 25 of them but I’m having a hard time actually assembling them. Do you have instructions for the easiest way to close them up?
Thank you,
Michele
Hi Michele! These treat boxes can be a bit tricky. What I found works best is sliding in one side of the clover at a time (rather than both of the matching pieces at once). You can also cut the slit a little bit if it needs a little more room. I hope that helps!
Where did you get the candy hearts? They are too cute!
Found them at the grocery store a couple years ago! 🙂
Thank you! I found something similar on Amazon – going to give it a try.
Can these Shamrock Treat Boxes be brought from your company? I need them for a Ball in March which happens to be on St. Patricks Day.
Hi Pamela! We only sell patterns and templates for personal use, no actual finished products 🙁
