I welcome any opportunity for a little indulgence. That’s why I love making treat bags for every occasion! Here is an adorable treat bag design for St. Patrick’s Day. Fill these with gold coins, mint chocolate candies, or add some green tissue paper to dress it up! These treat bags are perfect for teachers to give to students, grandparents to give to grandkids, or as party favors for a St. Paddy’s Day party.

To make this project, you will need to buy some cotton or linen drawstring favor bags. You will be able to find these online or at your local craft store. There are lots of choices, so choose a size that will work for the candy you want to use. Next, get your iron-on ready. We used Iron-On Glitter. To stay true to the St. Patrick’s Day theme, we used a glittery green and gold color combination for our treat bags. Of course, you could use this design at any time of year as little good luck charm. Choose any color scheme and use these bags as a birthday or graduation gift! Use the SVG file below if you are using your cutting machine, or the PDF for if you are cutting by hand.

To make your iron-on treat bags looking even and crisp, make sure to secure the design by pressing your iron down rather than rubbing your iron against it. If you are looking for other craft projects using gold and green iron on, check out our Irish shirt design that is perfect for the holiday.
