If you missed it last month, we launched a new Craft Camp video series — just in time for summer crafting with your kids! Even if you don’t have little ones at home, we think you’ll enjoy making these projects. For example, these daisy earrings and daisy keychains are fun DIY crafts for all ages and really simple to make out of shrink film.
Just download our pattern at the end of the post and follow along with our video tutorial to make your own daisy accessories!
Dangly Daisies
In the video tutorial below, I will show you how to cut our daisy pattern using your cutting machine. While we recommend using your Cricut Maker or Silhouette Cameo 4 for this project, you could also cut your shrink film using our printable template and scissors. Don’t forget that your cut pieces will look larger than the final result!
If you’d like, you can customize your daisy earring and daisy keychain by making them in different colors and varying the length with the number of jump rings you use. You can also add the gold glitter to your earrings instead of the keychain like we did. Or maybe you want to use silver glitter and silver hardware. It’s all up to you!
Skill level: Beginner
Crafting tips: Make sure to heat your oven or toaster oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and do not use the convection oven setting. Watch carefully as your daisy earrings and daisy keychain start to shrink, curl up, and then flatten out. Remove from the oven when they look solid — about 35 seconds to 2 minutes depending on your oven. Then flatten immediately with a book!
