Our three DIY Christmas trees are each made entirely out of materials that we found at our local OSH. The first tree is made out of copper pipe, the second out of macrame cotton rope and the third out of kraft builders paper. Hardware stores are a fabulous place to find materials for DIY projects because they are not as obvious. It really becomes a welcomed challenge in exploring your creativity. You can start with something basic and crude, like copper tubing, and turn it into a show-stopping craft that radiates unique beauty. We encourage to take the challenge and go create!

Watch our video above to see how our three DIY Christmas trees came to life. Over the next few days we’ll be sharing the specific tutorials to make each tree, with a full list of the materials that you can find at OSH. Also make sure you check out the Workbench area at your local OSH. Orchard’s Workbench is the perfect place to tackle DIY projects like these DIY Christmas trees because they have all the tools and expertise that you might not have access to once you get home. They were able to help us with cutting our wood and copper tubing so we could easily start our tree projects when we got back to our studio. All you have to do is choose your materials and bring them up to the Workbench where a helpful Orchard associates will size just about anything for your specific projecet. And you can’t beat that it’s free of charge!

Best wishes for a fabulous holiday! ~ Lia and the Team
