Hello! I don’t have a spring ball, is it absolutely necessary or is there something else I can use to get a similar effect? Thank you
You mean a steel ball? Yes, you can use a wood bead or even a spun ball to help form the petals.
Hi…for anyone having a hard time twisting the little yellow stamen with your fingers, I discovered that the pointy tweezers work great to get in there and pinch/squish the stamen!
Love that! I am a huge fan of the pointy tweezers.
Hi again! Regarding the sizing change…there seems to be a black overlay on the new uploaded file that covers the pattern. You can get rid of it when you hide the layer, but instructions aren’t visible. Thanks for the adjustment!
Whoops! It has now been fixed 🙂
Hi Lia!
I am confused by the sizing guidelines. On the svg file it says to resize the box to 5 x 5, which makes the petals very tiny….much smaller than the pdf template. What am I doing wrong?
5×5 was a mistype it should be 7×7 and the SVG has now been updated!
I just finished making these and love how they look. I did a minor modification and used white PanPastel rather than white paint. I wanted a softer edge. Thanks for such a great design!
That is a great idea! Share photos on the community page if you have not already!
Lia, I found the video! Thank you so much!
Will you tell me the size of your container for the Violet?
Actually, I just added it to the post! We finished editing early. Refresh the screen, and you will see it. 🙂
The container is 3 inches tall. It is a little one.
Thank you!!!
Hello Lia! Am I overlooking the video? Thank you!
It will be posted next week! 🙂
Lia, thank you so very much!!
You are so welcome. 🙂
Oh my goodness, I’m so over the moon to see this!! A few months ago when asked what flowers we’d like to see created, I suggested an African Violet. I just love them and cannot keep one alive to save my life. I’m so thrilled to be able to make one that will always look amazing. Thank you Lia and team!
Yes! We always add member suggestions to our list! We will have a full video for this shortly. 🙂
