Frosted Paper Cyclamen Plant
Last week we crafted our first-ever paper hyacinth. And today we have another first! It’s so much fun trying out a new flower. And this frosted paper cyclamen plant is a such a sweet little plant to look at.
We’re in love with its delicate, upturned petals and variegated leaves. These are two key characteristics of the cyclamen β and today we are going to show you how to recreate them using frosted paper and art markers.

An Upside-Down DIY
The cyclamen is a unique plant to craft because its flowers are upside down. Also, each flower typically has four petals up and one petal down. You can see how our designer Meagan achieved this by following the tutorial at the end of this post.
Once you've crafted your frosted paper cyclamen plant, you can put yours in a tiny pot like we did. Its small stature makes it a great plant to keep indoors on a kitchen counter, a desk, a shelf...really anywhere! Don't forget to share your version of our paper cyclamen plant with us and other crafters on our Facebook page for members. Or you can always use the hashtag #MadeWithLia.

Back to the TopLove these! Can you print the leaf design with an ink jet printer?
Yes, you can! For the ink jet you will definitely need to keep this plant away from water as the ink does bleed. π
how long are the wires cut to?
Hi Sonja,
The wire for the flowers is about 7 inches long and the wire for the leaves is about 5″ long π
Iβm a new member and have a Cricut Maker and a Brother ScanNCut dx125. Is there a tutorial on downloading svg to the Maker from my IPad or do I need to use my laptop? I also want to use my ScanNCut. I love making paper flowers from watercolor paper and card stock. I donβt have crepe paper yet but want to make crepe paper, felt and fabric arrangements as well.
Hi Rosemary! We have a video showing how it works on a computer (https://liagriffith.com/how-to-use-svg-files-for-cricut/). Cricut’s website should have some helpful videos and tutorials for using your iPad! Unfortunately we don’t have any experience using the ScanNCut but hopefully Brother’s customer service can point you in the right direction π
Thanks so much for your help.πβ€οΈ
