Firstly, throughout this workshop, we’ll show you techniques to take your crepe paper crafting skills to the next level. It's so important to have the support of your community when attempting something new or difficult, and that's what Member Make is all about. From perfecting the petal shapes to creating the branch structure, you’ll be learning how to make your Crepe Paper Cherry Blossom Branches look as realistic as possible. Leave a CommentI must have missed it in the video but do you stretch your crepe paper before cutting like in the beginner version? Just want to be sure as I didn’t do that in the beginner and it made my flowers very wonky! Thanks.
You do not need to pre stretch any crepe paper before cutting for this flower!

Thank you – i love both beginner and advanced versions of cherry blossoms. Ended up making both on natural branches. One tip i’d like to share that if you do not own a petal shaping tool, my metal measuring spoons in 1/8th tsp and 1/6th tsp work great!
I love that you made both and I agree, I love both. You can not go wrong with cherry blossoms. And. . . what a great tip to use the small measuring spoons. You are so innovative!
My Cricut cut the white flower petals out terribly. Took notches out of the tops and sides of the large petals. I wasted so paper. I wonder what I did wrong?
Make sure you are using a rotary blade and the cotton setting with more pressure when cutting double sided crepe paper. I like to use a brayer or the curling tool to push the crepe paper into the mat before cutting. I would also recommend trying a new mat is yours is torn up at all. If none of these tips work try restarting your computer and recalibrating your machine!

Hello! Why do we cut the stamen pollen straight across instead of using pinking shears to soften the edge? Sorry if this is a silly question, I just want to learn to be a better crafter!
Hey Madeleine! I would use the pinking sheers too. I guess Meagan felt since we are rolling them between our fingers you do not need it, but I prefer the look of the pinking sheers. 🙂

The large leaf halves on the SVG do not match up in size or shape to the PDF template. Which is correct?
