Blush and Copper Paper Rose

Our paper rose patterns are always popular and so when we were invited to demo this beautiful paper bloom on our local morning television show AM Northwest, we decided that it was the perfect opportunity to create a 2016 update. What better way to say “I Love You” this Valentine’s Day than with a long lasting paper rose, made by you?!
We are swooning over blush and copper tone combinations at the moment. Our gorgeous blush colored paper is created using a wash that you can print onto regular printer paper before you print the template. Pop the paper back through your printer to print the pattern, trim the petals to size and then you are ready to follow our simple step-by-step tutorial from our garden rose post.
This beautiful bloom can be made in any color of text weight paper but if you love the blush and copper tones, it complements our blush and charcoal printable wedding invitations perfectly. Lovers of this combination might also like to make our metallic disco balls for a handcrafted party celebration! Stay tuned to see how my TV appearance went (eek!) and follow us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to see what we a re sharing next. See you there! ~ Lia

Hi Lia I really like you work, and I would like to get a membership for a month, can I do that ?? Thank you
Hi Gina! Thank you so much! Yes, you can sign up for one month by signing up for a monthly membership and then logging into the site, going to “My Craft Room” to your account settings, and setting your membership to non renew. This way your membership will not renew after the one month is up. If you need help with this, just email hello@liagriffith.com.

You’re so welcome 🙂
Hi Lia,
I just signed up for a subscription because I will be making a paper flower backdrop for my daughter’s birthday. Do you have a video on how to curl the paper? I have a Silhouette and have all the pieces cut, but I can never get the petals to curl the way I’d like them to. Would you be able to tell me which flower tutorials have videos on how to curl them? I would really appreciate that! Thank you!
Anna
Hi Anna, I’m sure your backdrop will look fabulous! You can watch the video in this post: https://liagriffith.com/paper-rose-video-tutorial/
I explain how to curl the edges around the 30 second mark 🙂 Enjoy!
These are just beautiful….oh my! I can’t tell you how much I enjoy your site and have made many projects from here. Thanks
Thank you. I am treasuring your kind words!
Thanks for answering. I’ll have to order some text paper. Can’t wait to try your flowers. They are so pretty.
Thank you so much, I hope you enjoy making them!
Thank yo so much. I am a premium member, but hadn’t seen this rose. I do have one question–what weight paper do you use? I really want to try this.
I used text weight metallic paper from Paper Papers for this 🙂
Beautiful. Is there a tutorial for these?
You can follow the tutorial from this post 🙂 https://liagriffith.com/diy-paper-garden-rose/
Oh my spectacular, so breath taking. Luckily have the copper paper. Want to make a rose or two to include in box for grand daughter’s b/d. Afraid her gift will be little late but think she’ll forgive me when he open her card and box.
Doing this for oldest g/d better have something snazzy in mind for her sister when she turns 16 in April, she’s our youngest grand child and such a talented sweet young woman. She even got to play her violin at her sister’s high school graduation in May. She did a solo. Talk about bursting with pride and we noticed Delainey had tears in her eyes for her sister’s special tribute.
Have wonderful weekend and thanks for sharing these awesome ideas just at the right time.
Oh good, I am glad you have copper paper for this project!! I know that if I were a young woman in college, I would love to receive a package like that from my grandparents 🙂
