This beginner-friendly Cardstock Tropical Card lets the botanical details do most of the talking. Similar to many of our layered cardstock projects, we highly recommend using a cutting machine. It will be especially useful for the intricate openings in the monstera leaves and other smaller pieces. Once cut, layering the different shapes creates plenty of dimension while keeping the process simple, approachable, and, most of all — fun!
We paired leafy greens with warm yellow, playful pink, and deep blue, but tropical botanicals leave plenty of room to experiment. Imagine sunset oranges, vivid corals, or softer pastels to suit your mood or the occasion. You could even borrow the favorite colors of your recipient to make your Cardstock Tropical Card feel especially personal.
Planning a tropical-themed celebration? Let this Cardstock Tropical Card set the tone for the whole shindig. Carry its colorful botanicals through your décor with our Tropical Leaf Garland, then add Paper Flower Leis, and Tiki Lanterns for an extra splash of island-inspired fun. Additionally, you can even use the card design as inspiration for place cards, menu signs, or thank-you notes, creating a thematic flow that wows from the first invitation to the final aloha.
Once you’re all finished making it your own, remember to share your Cardstock Tropical Card with our crafters' community and on social using #MadeWithLia.
