Christmas in July Craft Summit!
We are back with another Christmas in July! Our first version, which we called Beginner’s Crepe Paper Christmas, was so popular we featured it two years in a row, so this year, we thought it was time for another version for those of you who are a bit more experienced with crepe paper flower making.

WATCH THE REPLAY:
Crepe Paper Gold & Copper Pine Cones + Long Pine Needles
The hour-long classes will start daily at 11 am PT. If you cannot be with us for the live filming, you can watch the replay immediately after the class completes.
For our Craft Summit, we will showcase how to make three elegant winter projects with a Scandi flair.
In the first class, I will teach you how to make these realistic new pine cones from laminated gold and copper crepe paper. With their coordinating crepe, long pine branches, and silver twigs, this combination can be used so many ways for your holiday decorations.
Next, we will make a beautiful metallic wreath with holly, mistletoe, lemon leaves, and pretty gold-painted berries. These can be added onto a wood embroidery hoop or attached in a strand to form a flexible garland.
In the final class for this series, we will make an “oldie but goodie,”. . . a delicate white poinsettia plant with two-tone leaves and gold-painted centers. This simple version of the poinsettia looks elegant in any environment and makes a lovely gift for a friend.
Download the templates below to prep all your pieces and make them along with us during the class. You can use the SVG template to cut all of the crepe with the rotary blade on your cutting machine or simply print the PDF template and cut them by hand.

I am not able to bring up the video for the white poinsettia. Indicates “coming soon”.
Oops. Sorry about that. I forgot to update the link, however, the project has its own post so it was available for you.
Please provide the appropriate link for sharing photos of finished work. Thanks.
Sure! You can use the link at the top of the page that says “community.”
Thank you!
You are welcome!
I can’t find the replay, isn’t it up yet or where can I find it? Thanks
I added the link to this main page. There is a separate post for each project.
Hello,
Could you tell where I can watch the replay?
Thank you very much.
Have a nice day
Karine
I added the link to the main post, and we are adding a full post for each project. 🙂
Are the leaves for the wreath laminated? Seem very fragile. Trying to cut ahead of class!
I hope you know how much we all enjoy these sessions. You are both great teachers. Thank you
for great explanation and making me think “I can do this”!!!
I love that! Thank you.
I did not laminate the wreath leaves, though you could! I wired each leaf to give it the heft, but the lamination would give it that extra kick. 🙂
Awesome! I was hoping that would be an option. Thanks so much.
See you there!
Hi, I accidentally cut the bronze and gold pine cones separately…didn’t catch the note about laminating them in time. (oops)
Any thoughts on what I can do with them? Or are they trash? :^)
Oh, dear! Maybe you can tack them together with just a dab of glue. When you see how we make them, I think it will be okay that they are not completely fused. So. . . DON’T throw that precious paper away. lol 😉
My cricut tells me both downloads are unsupported files
Take a look at this lesson in our Skill Course, where we go over uploading SVG files. Let me know if you are still having trouble and we can dig deeper. https://liagriffith.com/craft-academy/a-crafters-guide-to-the-cricut-maker/
I am excited about this class! Can’t wait! Do I need to register for the Class?
No registration is needed; just mark your calendar! See you there. 🙂
Can not wait. Just order supplies
This will be a fun one!! 🙂
What size of pot did you use for poinsettia plant?
It is 5.5 inches tall and 5 inches wide.
Loving the look of these new pinecones – so real looking – can’t wait to get started!! I concur with Kathryn’s comment – can’t thank you and your team enough for all the exciting projects you create for us all to expand on our creative skills. Thank you!!
You are so welcome! This was a fun pinecone to design. I wanted to knock it up a notch, and I LOVE the two-tone metallic.
LOVE the new pinecones!!! Can’t wait for these classes! Thank you for everything you & your team does for us!
I am so excited to make these with you all!! 🙂
I don’t see any templates
They are there now. 🙂
