For this project, you’ll continue working with heavy crepe paper. However, this time you’ll stretch the paper before cutting your petals to create softer, more organic shaping. Additionally, brush markers and PanPastels help create the gorgeous blended tones that make every bloom feel unique. Rather than aiming for perfect uniformity, allow the colors to flow naturally across each flower for a more realistic, garden-inspired result.

Cosmos flowers are often associated with harmony, creativity, and peaceful beauty, also. Accordingly, the Apricot Lemonade variety feels especially dreamy with its sunset-inspired palette and delicate petals that almost seem to glow in warm light. Furthermore, their open shape makes them wonderful companion flowers for fuller blooms and statement stems alike.

As the second flower in our master class series, these cosmos build beautifully upon the techniques introduced in the Crepe Meadowlark Forsythia workshop. Later, you’ll transition into the slow-crafted fullness of our Crepe Annabelle Hydrangea, where tiny florets come together to create lush garden abundance.

When your Crepe Paper Apricot Lemonade Cosmos are ready to arrange, share them with us in the crafters’ community and on social using #MadeWithLia.
