Crepe Apricot Lemonade Cosmos—Master Class Workshop
Crepe Apricot Lemonade Cosmos—Master Class Workshop
Painted Blooms
Soft, painterly, and glowing with warm summer color, our Crepe Paper Apricot Lemonade Cosmos feels like a watercolor bouquet brought to life. With buttery yellows, blush pinks, and soft apricot tones blending across every petal, these delicate blooms bring a light, airy beauty to this month’s collection. Their wispy stems and open faces add effortless movement to any arrangement.
Featured in both our new book, Paper Flower Garden, and our Paper Flower Garden Master Class, this flower continues the creative journey introduced in our Crepe Meadowlark Forsythia workshop. However, while the forsythia focused on branching structure and movement, this video workshop will explore color layering and artistic variation in a much more expressive way.

For this project, you’ll continue working with heavy crepe paper. However, this time you’ll stretch the paper before cutting your petals to create softer, more organic shaping. Additionally, brush markers and PanPastels help create the gorgeous blended tones that make every bloom feel unique. Rather than aiming for perfect uniformity, allow the colors to flow naturally across each flower for a more realistic, garden-inspired result.
Cosmos flowers are often associated with harmony, creativity, and peaceful beauty, also. Accordingly, the Apricot Lemonade variety feels especially dreamy with its sunset-inspired palette and delicate petals that almost seem to glow in warm light. Furthermore, their open shape makes them wonderful companion flowers for fuller blooms and statement stems alike.
As the second flower in our master class series, these cosmos build beautifully upon the techniques introduced in the Crepe Meadowlark Forsythia workshop. Later, you’ll transition into the slow-crafted fullness of our Crepe Annabelle Hydrangea, where tiny florets come together to create lush garden abundance.
When your Crepe Paper Apricot Lemonade Cosmos are ready to arrange, share them with us in the crafters’ community and on social using #MadeWithLia.

Leave a CommentHi,
I still don’t see the link for the template or the video forCrepe Apricot Lemonade Cosmos??
Hello Gayle! We just added a new button at the top of the right sidebar that will lead you to the templates and workshop. Let me know if that works for you.
Hi, i thought i sent a comment , but i dont ses it, i was asking for the templet thats not for cutting machine. Im so happy to be apart of the magic flower making. I appreciate everyones efforts xo
The PDF printable templates and the cutting machine templates are all in the same download folder. You can find the downloads in the master class itself. There is a link button at the top right under the intro text. You can also access the full master class in the top menu under Craft Academy. Hope that helps. 🙂
Dear Lia,
i’m so glad that i found your website. I love to make paper flowers.
Were can i find the downloads for the templates?
Welcome, Kerstin! Under the intro copy, there is a bar that says “this flower is part of the master class”; you can click that, and it will take you over to the Craft Academy section (you can also access this in the top menu bar). Keep me posted on how things go with this series. I would love to hear your feedback. 🙂
Dear Lia,
Another GREAT class. I love all the new techniques we get through these classes. I am so grateful that I got a lifetime membership this last year, it is one of the best investments I’ve ever made in myself. Thank you for the gift that making crepe paper flowers has given me.
Love ya!
Awwww. We are so happy you are here, Charlene!
Cutting my templates. The template says “Heavy Plum” but the materials say, “Coral, Blush, Chiffon, Nectarine, Aubergine”. There is no plum listed. Which one did you use for the stamen? Also, are the Coral, Blush, and Chiffon the color options for the petals?
I am sorry. I updated the template, as originally it was Plum, but changed it to Aubergine (very similar color and both work fine), so we could save on materials as we use Aubergine for other flowers in this course. Yes, I make the coral version in the video, and if you would like the full variety as shown in the book, you can also make some from the blush and chiffon. Totally optional. Hope that all made sense. 🙂
Please ignore my prior comment! I am lying here thinking about the course and thought to check my downloads. And, yes, there they are!!! As one gets older, they also get more forgetful!!!
Oh goodness, we are all right there with you. You can always go back and download again. 🙂
When will the template for hand cutting be available? I do all cutting by hand. Because I am older (80th year), it does take me a bit longer.
I love your classes and books. Soon I should be able to get the new book. It looks awesome!
Hello Sandy! I am adding all the templates in the module called template downloads. I will be adding three a month for the duration of this class on the first of each month. Let us know what you think about the book! 🙂
Hi Lia, how much is 250 %stretch for the crepe paper
It is all but fully stretched. If you have a piece that is 10 inches wide, you would stretch it to be about 25 inches wide.
I can’t seem to stretch mine that far. I cut a 12 in piece and stretched it to about 21 inches
That will work too. The crepe paper is made in small batches so each batch will vary just a bit.
how many of each gauge wire do we need
For each flower stem, you will need one 18-gauge, plus a 24-gauge for bud and for the leaf.
