We can’t wait to see how you arrange this crepe paper filler greenery! If you need ideas for flowers to add to your bouquet, just explore our crepe paper flowers. In addition to bouquets, you could also use this greenery for all of your DIY wedding flowers, like table centerpieces or larger mantel arrangements.
Because some of this crepe paper filler greenery has a more intricate design, we recommend using your Maker or Cameo 4 with our SVG files. However, you can always cut by hand with our template instead.
How to Make Crepe Paper Filler Greenery
- Gather your craft tools and materials. Then download the template below and cut out your pieces.
- Glue a 4-inch 24-gauge wire between two leaf halves.
- Wrap the stem of each leaf with a strip of Cypress crepe paper.
- Attach leaves to an 18-gauge wire using floral tape.

Also, how do I find your facebook page for members?
We have a community page that is not on Facebook. At the top of the site, click the community button and it will take you to sign in! So happy you are joining us there. 🙂
When it says full tutorial available for members, where do I find that video? I have checked many place and cannot find a video. Is one available for the filler greenery?
This one does not have a video, it has the full photo tutorials. You can download those from the right hand column.
I actually made the salal leaves using the #2 color frosted paper from your conifer pack and they actually came out pretty nice. I glued the wire in between two leaves. not as delicate as crepe paper but it will look nice in a bouquet.
It is great to have methods for all types of paper! Love that you found this one. 🙂
Thank you so much Lia for providing that link. Followed along and made some beautiful greenery!
Wonderful!
I have been looking for the video tutorial on this crepe paper greenery, but have been unable to find. it.
Here is a video from our Craft Academy where I do make some of the greenery designs. https://liagriffith.com/craft-academy/spring-summit/
I’ve been trying to cut the dusty miller svg files using these instructions and the other tutorials, but nothing I try will get them to cut. It was starting in the wrong spot, and now the blade / carriage is shuddering and clicking like something is stopping it from moving. I don’t know how else to cut these files, other then by hand,, but I don’t know an easy way to do that either. I’ve already destroyed cardstock and a full length of the double sided crepe, so now I’m just lost. I’d appreciate any advice.
If your machine is making those noises, it sounds like a hardware issue. Start by removing the blade and carriage and blowing it out to make sure nothing is stuck inside. If it continues, you might need to talk to cutting machine customer service.
I’m so excited to make this greenery on my new Cricut Maker 3 but when I tried it tonight, I had some problems. I didn’t modify the SVG file at all other than turning off some of the layers before sending it to the Maker.
The Dusty Miller pattern cut the larger leaves pretty well…a little choppy with overcuts, but generally the whole piece was produced. The smaller leaves were NOT cut well at all — it tried to cut the leafy part of it, but the stem was so small/narrow it was barely visible and not useful, the leafy part wasn’t attached to anything.
The Lily grass pattern cut in a big square where I can see there is “grass” on both the top and bottom of the square, but in between the blades of grass there are thicker strips of paper between each blade of grass still connecting the top and bottom of the square. It doesn’t look like that in Design Space; I don’t know why it is cutting like this. Any advice to a newbie on how to fix it? 🙂 thank you!
Hello Stacey! Congrats on your new Maker. We have a few videos that might help you with cutting crepe paper. One thing to note, Cricut does have a “crepe paper” setting but it is not useful for all crepe papers. Go to https://liagriffith.com/craft-academy/ and in the center row of the mini-courses you will see “Upload & Prep SVG for Cricut” which will help you with knowing how to use our files, then “Cutting Machines for Crepe Paper” which show all of our tips and settings. Hope that helps!
Meagan is a MACHINE!!! Huge thank you to her for all her hard work and contributions. She’s my hero!! <3
Meagan is incredibly talented, and she is ALL of our heroes!!
Agreed! I think these would look great bundled with twine and tags and put in a glass test tube vase display.
The large fern leaf is still missing a line when opened in Cricut design space.
Ack! It has been updated, for real this time 🙂 Thanks!
Just want to thank you for these tips on making greenery. I have always had a special love for greenery. Of course they are a great support caste for the beautiful flowers your teaching us to make. Yet I believe they are a star in there own right. Now I can work on expressing this creatively while celebrating this enchanting part of nature’s beauty.
Thank you again for your courage to explore all of nature’s bounty.
Thank you for your feedback! I agree, they are quite lovely on their own 🙂
The dusty Miller svg has an incomplete leaf – missing center line so there’s no whole piece to cut.
Thank you, it has been fixed!
My download of the svg file is missing some lines on the large Dusty Miller and large Fern stems.
They have been fixed!
