Like all of our Member Make projects, this Crepe Paper Lavender Lady Lilac is an advanced project. During our live workshop experience, on June 19 at 12 noon PT, we’ll focus on both technique and artistry to bring this beautiful bloom to life. Using detail scissors, shaping tools, and floral wire, you’ll gradually build each bloom cluster petal by petal. Additionally, we’ll work with double-sided crepe paper, allowing your lilac leaves to develop more depth and variation .
With their soft color and elegant shape, lilacs have long symbolized first love, renewal, and tranquility. The Lavender Lady variety is especially beloved for its delicate lavender blooms and elongated flower clusters. Similarly, our crepe paper version captures that same graceful beauty through layered petals, sculpted leaves, and softly blended color throughout each branch.
Although our Crepe Paper Lavender Lady Lilac may look incredibly intricate, we’re here to guide you through the process every step of the way. As each tiny bloom comes together, the branch gradually fills out with the soft, lush texture that makes lilacs so enchanting. Additionally, layered leaves and thoughtfully shaped branches give the finished stems a graceful, garden-fresh feel.
And while showing off your hard work is a fitting reward for diligent crafting, Member Make is about more than the finished project. Overall, it’s a chance to gather, create together, ask questions, and enjoy the shared experience of making something truly beautiful as a community. So don't forget to join us live, on June 19 at noon PT. We can't wait to see you there.
Once your Crepe Paper Lavender Lady Lilacs are in bloom, share them with us in the crafters’ community and on social using #MemberMake. See you soon!

Back to the TopWhat color double sided crepe paper do you suggest as I don’t want to make my own?
If you were able to get some of the light lilac and lilac double-sided, you can use that. If not, you can use any of the lighter colors (white/white, the pale yellow or peach combos), which would also be lovely.
