In the last couple of years, we have created a ton of adorable kid’s crafts using a combination of felt and pinecones. Some of our favorites include our felt and pinecone elves, squirrels and owls. This year we’re sharing our newest addition to the collection: felt and pinecone raccoons. Round up your favorite little ones for a fun afternoon of making!
Make a trip to your local craft store to find all the materials you need. Generally, you will need grey, black and white felt for these pinecone raccoons. Print the PDF template below to use as a guide for cutting your felt pieces. The only other materials you will need are pinecones and small black beads for the eyes. Once you start crafting you can follow the step-by-step photo tutorial as you go! These are super easy to make and it is a great project to introduce your kids to using a low-temp hot glue gun.
Browse the rest of our felt and pinecone crafts to make more woodland friends with your pinecone raccoons. And look through our entire felt section to see what other projects you can make with the material. We love seeing your crafting successes, so share your photos with us on Instagram using #DIYDreamingWithLia. Have fun! ~ Lia and the Team

I’m hoping to make these pinecone animals for a kids’ party. But I wouldn’t want to use hot glue. Do you have any suggestions for another glue that might work? Thank you!!
You could try fabric glue!
