Pinecone Craft Love!
Our pinecone crafts have been popular this year and so it makes sense that we bring them all together in one glorious pinecone round up before the year is out. If you are looking for a pinecone animal DIY project, we have a few for you to choose from. Simply click on the images below to find the pattern and tutorial 🙂
Our pinecone owl is a classic that always garners attention from craft fans. Our cute felt and pinecone hedgehog, squirrel and fox are perfect DIY projects for the Fall or Winter season. The pinecone turkey looks great on any Thanksgiving table, and with the Holidays creeping up on us fast, the pinecone elves or little white birds are an ideal project for the little pixies in your life. One of my personal favorites is our pinecone bear which I made for a Good Housekeeping video and our little raccoons 🙂 And of course, there is always the classic felt pinecone with felt pine needles. You can find pinecones at your local craft store if you do not have trees to gather dropped pinecones from. We also used a variety of felts, wooden balls, beads and the occasional googly eye which you can also find at the craft store. All of our pinecone crafts are assembled using a low temperature glue gun and there is not a smidgen of stitching in sight. You can find the tutorial for each project in the posts.
We are on a mission to share the work of our wonderfully creative community. If you make any of our DIY projects at home, please do share pictures of your work with us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #DIYDreamingWithLia. We will always share our faves! Enjoy! ~ Lia

The link to the pine cone owl instructions is not working. please repost.
It’s fixed– thanks for the heads up!
I can’t find the link to the felt pine cones. There isn’t a green link to it in the post?
Thanks for pointing that out! It’s updated now. https://liagriffith.com/diy-felt-pine-cones/
Hi Lia,
The crafts are so cute. Thank you.
But, I too can’t find the downloads/instructions. I don’t see green highlighted names of the crafts and when I click on the picture of the craft, I only get another picture of the craft. I also don’t see any links.
Thanks Rosemary! The links are in the text, not the photo 🙂

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to de-stick-ify (technical term) pinecones? Or do you buy them somewhere? Excited to make some of these as Christmas gifts!!
I usually just pick them up in packs at Michaels 😉
You can bake them in the oven at 250 degrees. I usually leave them in for about an hour. Put them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper so the sap doesn’t get on your bakeware.
Great tip!
Where are the downloads for these projects? Either I’m missing them or they are missing 🙂
The links are within the post 🙂 The names of the crafts should be highlighted in green in the description. If you click on those it should take you to each separate post!

I am not sure what you mean here. You can use the links to go to each project and the tutorial and link for templates are all there for members.
