We love crafting woodland animals, and this one was just too cute to resist. Designed for intermediate makers, this stuffie comes together with a bit of stitching skill and a love for detail. While the number of pieces is minimal, an understanding of stuffie construction will be helpful. Additionally, with this project, you’ll practice fun techniques like creating fringed ear tufts and shaping them with a touch of fabric stiffener for that perfectly perky look.
Of course, no party squirrel would be complete without a little party hat! So, included in the pattern are instructions for crafting the most adorable miniature felt party hat—just the thing to tie this cutie into our full birthday celebration collection. Pair your finished Felt Red Squirrel with our Felt Birthday Cake and Embroidered Birthday Cards, and you’ve got a woodland-themed bash that’s almost too cute to handle. Want to make it a full party crew? Check out our Felt Chipmunk, Felt Raccoon, and Felt Possum to complete the guest list.
Stitch this sweet fella up as a gift, and add him to your woodland stuffie collection. Or craft him up just for fun. After all, there’s never a wrong reason to craft a handsome party squirrel. So gather your felt, thread your needle, and let the forest festivities begin!
When you’re finished, we cannot wait to see the cuteness you create. Show your Felt Red Squirrel on Instagram with #MadeWithLia, or upload to our crafters’ community so we can ooh and ah together.

Hi!
I am looking forward to making this little guy, however the SVG is incomplete. The white belly is missing. I realize I could cut it from the template, but my hand cutting is pretty poor compared to what my Cricut can do. Is it possible to repost the complete image? Thanks!

Sure enough! We will get that piece added in. 😉
