Download our printable instructions for the full list of materials. We used Cherry and White from our shop Felt, Paper, Scissors. If you want to make nicer quality ornaments that will last, we recommend using wool felt rather than acrylic. We only used white and red felt colors, but feel free to personalize in any way you want. For the beards on our santa ornaments we were able to find some great fluffy white pure wool felt. Once you have your felt, you will need 1-inch wooden beads or a peg doll. Begin your felt santa ornaments by printing the PDF template and using it as a guide for cutting your felt pieces.

Follow the step-by-step photo tutorial below as you craft these cuties. To add little eyes, we used the back of a paintbrush and some black craft paint. Our finishing touch was the red and white striped bakers twine. This project is seriously getting us in the mood for Christmas! If you are looking for more DIY ornaments to make with your little ones, be sure to browse all of our felt and pinecone crafts. We must say that our pinecone elf ornaments are particularly fabulous. Stay tuned for more holiday ornaments, including our pom pom snowmen and clay snowflakes. Browse all of our Christmas projects, or get in on the fun with a monthly or annual membership. Seasons greetings! ~ Lia and the Team
