Extra-Fine Crepe Paper Daffodils – Member Make Workshop
Spring these Daffodils to Life
For our March Member Make, we will be teaching you how to make crepe paper daffodils. You can join me and Meagan for our live tutorial TODAY at 11:00 a.m. PT. Or you can also watch the video later.
If you haven’t yet joined our monthly Member Make, it’s our creative challenge for crafters and makers. It’s also a fun way to meet others in our crafting community. So far, we’ve only crafted flowers for our Member Make challenges, but who knows—that could change at some point!
This video is for members only.

So we kicked it up a notch for this month’s Member Make with the addition of PanPastel pigments and acrylic paint. If you haven’t used these mediums before, we encourage you to try them out! They are a great way to make your paper flowers look more realistic.
Ready to join this month’s challenge and learn how to make crepe paper daffodils? Here’s how it works:
How to Join the Member Make Challenge
- Become a member and join our Member Make Facebook page.
- Gather the tools and materials you need for this project—listed below. Then download the daffodil flower template at the end of this post. There is an SVG file for those of you with a Cricut Maker and a PDF template for those of you cutting by hand. (We cut ours by hand!)
- Watch the video to craft along with me and create your own version of this flower. Feel free to use different colors, create different sizes, make just one flower or a whole bunch, integrate them into another DIY project, and so on.
- Reach out to me and others in the community if you need some support! You can post progress pictures or ask questions on our Member Make Facebook page.
- Share your finished project with us by the end of the month to be entered in our giveaway. Make sure to post your pictures on our Member Make Facebook page or on your Instagram page with the hashtag #MemberMake. And feel free to include a little blurb about your flower-making experience!

I have some regular pastels – could those be used in panpastel for the ombre. Probably wouldn’t work for the pollen though?
Those should work for color! Chalk pastels or eye shadow are common PanPastel replacements as well.
Thanks! I finished up a batch of 6 of these and they look so real! I’m going to put them together with some lilac crocus and the aubergine and sangria parrot tulips for a Mother’s Day bouquet. Really love all these beautiful patterns and techniques.
Love it!! So glad to hear this 🙂
Love these daffodils and I think this design is so much better than the daffodils kit and it’s a simpler design! Great iteration on the original! One question, which paper did you use for the gold spathe?
Thanks, Jennifer. Yes, we try to improve our designs as we go. The good news is that you can use this pattern with the kit. In this workshop, we actually used the gold from our metallic bundle, but you can use the vanilla if you do not have that on hand.
I use ground tarragon for the pollen.
Hi team Lia, you guys are so awesome with all your attention to detail and your love of sharing all your works of art. The videos are great, this daffodil is spot on. Query, if you reverse the colors and make the leaves yellow and the center whitish would you have a jonquil?
Thank you so much! We actually have a Jonquil pattern on our site (the leaves and centers are a bit smaller than this daffodil): https://liagriffith.com/video-tutorial-extra-fine-crepe-paper-jonquil-starter-pattern/
thank you so so much for making video’s like this instead of those useless no commentary music in the background tutorials. as a beginner i appreciate all the tips and tricks you guys share!
im planning on making these for my friends birthday. they will love it!
These are unbelievably beautiful. Thank you for sharing, I’ll have to make these!
Thank you!!
