Sponsored by CanonThe easiest way to get festive for a New Year’s party is with a party hat. That’s why we love coming up with new designs every year! This year we wanted to make printable New Year’s Eve crowns rather than papercut ones so that they would be easy for anyone to make. All you have to do is choose your favorite design and print onto white cardstock to have a fabulous accessory for your celebration. The holidays are always a hectic time, so quick and convenient DIYs are perfect for the lead-up to 2017!

Our set of printable New Year’s Eve crowns includes both crowns and party hats for variety. There are three crown designs and three hat designs, all in a teal and gold color scheme. Download the PDF below to get started. We printed onto Hammermill cardstock with our PIXMA MG7720 Wireless Photo All-in-One Printer for a rich and vibrant color. There are lots of options for turning the printables into crowns and hats, but we decided to use headbands. Otherwise, you can easily use some ribbon or elastic cord. Trim the cone hats and use a hole punch to punch the two holes indicated on the template. Next, slip the headband through the holes. For the New Year’s Eve crowns, you will find tabs that you can use to attach the designs to your headbands. Secure the tabs to the headband with some hot glue, and it is ready for wearing!

If you are looking for just a standard crown that you can wear for New Year’s Eve, find our pretty paper crown design for any occasion. Browse all of our New Year’s Eve projects for more inspiration to prepare for the holiday, or head over to our membership page to start downloading. We love seeing your project photos, so share them with us using #DIYDreamingWithLia and #CraftyWithCanon. Cheers to the new year! ~ Lia and the Team
