Valentine's Day Glasses

Printing Your Glasses

Our heart glasses come in pink, red, magenta and seafoam green. There are two sizes in the download, one for adults and one for kids. Pick your favorites and print onto white cardstock – easy! If you want to use a glittery textured cardstock for your glasses, you can print the template onto regular copy paper, trace the design onto the glitter paper and cut. We used this project as a fabulous opportunity to try out our new Canon PIXMA TS8020 printer from their TS Series. They are nice and compact, so they are great for keeping in our individual work spaces! As you know, we switch between specialty papers all the time, so we love that the TS8020 has two different loaders we can use to alternate quickly.

Assembling Your Glasses

To cut out the centers of the hearts, we recommend using a craft knife or x-acto blade. Once you have all your pieces trimmed, you can assemble them with glue. We used a glue dot roller, but a hot glue gun or glue stick are also good options. If you want to make the glasses a little sturdier, use two layers of cardstock and glue them together. Fold up the envelopes and stick a pair of glasses in each one for a cute and unique valentine! For some extra flair, add some lenses to your Valentine’s Day glasses with red acetate sheets or cellophane sheets, which you can find at your local craft store.
