Blossom & Willow Wreath – Member Make Workshop
Keep blooming
Since our last Member Make workshop was just three weeks ago, we decided this month’s workshop should be a bit simpler (though it is still an intermediate project!). This pussy willow wreath has a lovely natural look that’s perfect for spring. And to give it a little more character, we added a few crepe paper apple blossoms and buds.
To get ready for our workshop, gather the tools and materials you need below and be sure to read our instructions. Then join us for our live workshop on March 12th at 11 am PST.
This video is for members only.

Become a MemberMaybe it’s all the snow this past month, but we are more eager than ever for some signs of spring! We have seen snowdrops and crocuses pop up just recently, and can’t wait for more flowers to start blooming. Of course we also like to get ready for spring by decorating our homes for the season. And one easy way to do that is with a handmade wreath.
We love how this willow wreath turned out and can’t wait to see your version! If you haven’t joined us for Member Make before, be sure to read the instructions on how to participate.

Instructions
If you want to craft along with us during our live workshop, be sure to make your pussy willow branches first. Because we have a separate photo tutorial and written instructions for the branches, we will not be going over how to make them during the live. Instead, we will show you how to make a willow wreath with your branches as well as the small blossoms and buds.
Note: You will need some extra natural wire and brown floral tape in addition to the pussy willow branches to make the wreath during the live. For the flower buds, you can use the extra cotton spun paper eggs from the pack we listed for the pussy willow branches. Another option is to use 8mm or 10mm cotton spun paper balls. (For those asking, we didn’t add greenery to this wreath, but did style the photo with our crepe paper pear branch!)
As always, the flower pattern is at the end of this post. See you on the 12th!

Why all member maker are crepe paper flower? I would like some frosted paper flower…
Thank you! I think that is a great idea. We have had more requests for crepe paper, but we will be doing a frosted paper master class this summer.
where is the svg for the buds?
At the bottom of the post. There’s one SVG file that includes petals for both the blossom and the bud.
Thank you so much. I have just started this craft with flowers. Can this also be cut with the silhouette? Also, does the site list beginner, intermediate and advanced flowers? I may have missed that. Thank you.
Hi! Yes, you can use our SVG files as long as you have the designer edition of Silhouette’s software. Most of our Member Make workshops are intermediate flowers. We usually tag projects as beginner, intermediate, or advanced, which you can find under the downloads (the pink links under where it says tags).
did you know your overhead camera is out of focus? its focused on the top cotton bud of the spray
Thanks for letting us know!
I used 6, 8, & 10 cotton spun balls & they turned out great.Like the different sizes on the branch..
Great idea!!
I was looking at the PDF and didn’t see the large leaf shapes from some of the photographs. Is this a leaf we can download to make as well? I really like the look with the large leaf.
Hi Stephanie! The leaves are from our October Member Make: https://liagriffith.com/crepe-paper-pear-branch/.
I don’t see which crepe paper is needed.
Ohhhh thanks for catching that! We used Extra-Fine Linen and Olive. Links have been added– so sorry about that.
Thank you!
That is out of stock as well. 🙁
Gah! They were available this morning. We did not anticipate the eggs selling out so quickly. You can purchase 10mm balls and we will be showing how to use both shapes during the live.
Any other vendor for the spun paper eggs? They are out of stock on Smile Mercantile and Spunny.
Smile Mercantile has the 24 packs in stock! https://www.smilemercantile.com/collections/spun-cotton/products/spun-cotton-eggs?variant=34900913717399
