We are continuing to celebrate the summer sun with more tropical-themed projects! While we love a tropical-themed party, today’s project is all about how you can infuse a bit of tropical style into your everyday life. This tropical decal is a simple way to refresh your living room or dining room with some summer decor. And, as part of our “We’re Here for You Wednesday” series, we have made this project free to download.
Along with the tropical decal, we have also included the designs for our monstera leaf and palm leaf. All of these files are at the end of the post and are free for you to download.
Keep palm and craft on
We applied our tropical decal designs to clear glass cylinder vases, but you can choose any type of vase or candle holder that you would like to incorporate into your specific home decor. One simple home decor tip is to get at least two vases that vary in size and place them next to each other on your mantel, entryway table, or coffee table. Or, you can get a few vases and create a tropical centerpiece for your dining room table.
Another thing you will want to choose is the vinyl for your tropical decal stickers. We chose a copper and metallic teal color scheme for our tropical candle set, but there is a huge selection of colors that you can use for this project. Once you’ve got your decals on, you can fill your cylinder vases with sand and papercut monstera leaves and palm leaves to complete the tropical look. Or, you can use other glass fillers like small shells, pebbles, or flowers.
Whatever you do with your free tropical decal, we hope you’ll share your DIY creation with us by tagging #MadeWithLia. Happy crafting! ~ Lia and team

Materials
- Cricut Adhesive Foil Vinyl – Teal and Rose Gold
- 12″x12″ Cardstock – White
- Glass Cylinder Vases/Hurricanes
- Sand (or other glass fillers)
- Candles (or Flameless LED Candles)
Instructions
Download our SVG file if using a cutting machine, or download the PDF template if cutting by hand. Because the vinyl decal is more intricate, we recommend using a cutting machine; otherwise, you can print the template onto regular copy paper, trace the leaves onto your vinyl, and then cut the pattern out with your detail scissors.
