Mother’s Day Staycation

Lots of Mother’s Day paper goods tend to include classic floral designs in soft pastels and pretty pinks. We do have a floral Mother’s Day card available for download, but this year we wanted to break out of the ordinary with some tropical design themes. Even if you can’t get away for the occasion, the monstera and hibiscus will make the day feel like a staycation! Our designer Laurel Autumn is the queen of digital watercoloring, and she whipped up these illustrations with a bright and happy color palette that can celebrate one of the main women in your life – your mom of course! Find these illustrations in several of our 2017 Mother’s Day projects, including these printable Mother’s Day invitations.

Printing your Mother’s Day Invitations

Every piece of text on these invitations is editable except for the word “Mother’s Day” in the script font. This means you can use the word gathering, brunch, lunch or any other word that fits your event description. To customize the text, download and install the free font DejaVu Serif. When you are ready, print the invites onto white cardstock and trim to size. They will be a standard A7 size when trimmed, so pick out some pretty A7 envelopes at your nearest stationery store to mail these off. Before closing up the envelopes, you can also add in a colored envelope liner for extra flair.  The download below includes a coral, teal and gold liner, and we recommend printing onto regular copy paper.
