Video Tutorial: Cardstock Lily of the Valley
As we welcome spring with our hearts and minds turned toward renewal, this next project symbolizes that very theme. The delicate white bells of our Cardstock Lily of Valley ring in what we hope is a joyful season of peace, growth, and creativity. Though we’ve featured this flower on our site before in felt and crepe paper, this advanced version has a little something extra—a video tutorial! The video will be released on March 21st so be sure to check back in so we can craft this lovely addition to our paper garden together.

This Cardstock Lily of the Valley offers a wonderful opportunity to take a big step in your creative journey with the added benefit of hands-on support. Like many of our cardstock flower projects, precision helps achieve crisp, professional results, so we highly encourage you to use your cutting machine for this project. Once you’re ready to start, gather your tools and materials and meet us back here on March 21st!
I’ve always thought Lily of the Valley flowers to be so pretty. Small, white, and pendant-shaped, they look like something out of a fairytale. Often associated with purity, happiness, and, yes — renewal, we thought these were a perfect choice for this month’s theme. However, real Lily of the Valley plants come with a warning: do not eat. Though they may seem sweet and delicate, these tiny flowers are highly poisonous to both humans and animals. If you love the look but not the danger — this project is definitely worth a try.
Once completed, your Cardstock Lily of the Valley would look lovely on a styled bookshelf, coffee table, or anywhere else that could use a cheerful presence. But wherever you choose to put this pretty plant, don’t forget to share it with us! We love seeing all your crafting successes, so tag us on Instagram with #MadeWithLia or in our crafters’ community.

Leave a CommentThis was a challenge for me. I haven’t worked with card stock much! My biggest challenge was keeping the glue from attracting my dirty finger prints on the white blossoms. Any tips for getting that off? I thought I was keeping my fingers clean as I worked, but that was obviously not the case! Thanks for a great project and taking the time to add a video. =)
A white eraser does a pretty good job at removing these marks from the paper! I like to rub my fingers together to remove any dried glue from them as I go and keep a paper towel on hand as well to try and keep them clean.
There is no spath in the SVG file. Am i correct to assume that is because it is not necessary to be precise in the shape?
I have added the Spath to the svg, however it is a very easy shape to cut by hand and you are correct that it does not need to be precise!
I just downloaded the files and the petal shape ist still different from those in the video and the foto tutorial.
Greetings from Evi
So sorry, it should now be correct.
Thank you very much!
Have a nice day!
The shape of the petals in the SVG file seem to be different than the petals in the photo tutorial? Is it just me?
Thank you for catching this! While that shape does work it was my first iteration, the one used in the tutorial is best. I have updated the file to the correct petal shape!
Thank you for the follow up! 🤗
Always! 🙂
